U.S.A. Arizona

There is already a post for CEP 2019 Summer Start so I figured I would make a new post for those applying next round. I am curious to see how many people plan to apply and how competitive this round will be.

I am applying to PVCC/NAU with 84 points. Thank you to those who participate and good luck next round! ????

Hello everyone! I recently applied to the Maricopa Nursing Fall 2019 CEP and I have a couple of questions. This is my first time applying to Maricopa’s Nursing Program and I felt my application process was quite rushed. I took all of my classes at ASU and was told that the classes I received an A- in would be received as B’s. So, my advisor wrote down B’s on my application which ultimately lowered my GPA. I was talking to another Fall 2019 applicant and she informed me she was able to use her A- grades as A’s on her application. Has anyone else encountered this issue?

When I put my application in at GCC the advisor wrote my A- in stats as an A. I think it depends on whoever does ur application since I’ve seen people tell me theirs got knocked down. I asked the advisor when he put an A why he didn’t knock it down and I don’t think he really knew what he was doing lol but I’m not complaining ?‍♀️.

Yeah I’m not sure then. I had my outside transcripts evaluated and that’s what they translated as through the school. My advisor just went off of that. I’m kind of hoping that since they are ASU credits and I’m going for ASU as my University that they will look at the higher grades ?

I applied with a 80.5 for ASU. SCC being my top choice and PVCC and Gateway as my others. I took my math in my junior year of high school and received a C and it's killing my application, along with not holding a degree. I'm praying I will get accepted, but if not if I retake the math and get my associates and I'll be applying with a 86.1 which I know will get me in, but I'm really hoping that I can make it. It's crazy how such little tweaks can make a difference. I know the lowest maricopa has accepted is about a 78 but I know for some reason scottsdale community is the most selective as far as scores go, does anyone know why that is? I'm so nervous, I'm so borderline :/

How are you guys biding time until acceptance letters go out? I can’t take the anxiety everyday I’m still checking like crazy even though we don’t find out until the week of June 24th.

I'm going crazy with wait as well. It's really all I can think about, but working helps bid the time. However, I still find myself counting down the days. It really is nerve-wracking.

Hi everybody! I applied to GWCC/GCU as my first choice a few weeks ago and wasn’t told what my score was. Can anybody help me out with finding out what my overall score would be?

Calculate your score by adding your gpa (from the courses gcu said they count) add that to your hesi english score ×.35 and math × .15 and then add any degree points 2.5 for associates, 5 for bachelors, 7.5 for a masters and 10 for a doctorate

So it looks for your gpa calculation it's only based on you english 101 and 102, bio 201 and 202, bio 205, hcr 240, and psy classes.

Not sure if you can see the above pictures but heres how I calculated mine:

My gpa for the courses asu counted is 3.5, my hesi english is 92 and math 100 and i have a bachelors so

3.5 × 10 = 35 pts

92 × .35= 32.2 pts

100 × .15 = 15 pts

Bachelors = 5 pts

Add that all up 87.2

If I did it correctly then I have 81.35 points! Thanks a lot!

Awesome! I know that you can email someone maybe the university partner to confirm I figured I'd just wait and see if I dont get in this round then figure out what my score was officially and what my options are to raise it

Has anyone heard anything yet? I feel like I have been waiting for ages and cant remember when they will start sending emails.
