Maricopa Nursing CEP 2019 (Applicants for April 1st - May 31st)
I think the average is somewhere between 80-82. I have 86 points applying but applied last round with a 83.5 and got first choice. Don’t believe a lot of people on here i think they inflate their points because when I actually applied they said I was well above average when I had 83.5 and girls applying the same time all had 70’s. Yet, somehow on the internet nobody seems to have near that. Just something I’ve noticed.

Drama in nursing?
Hello everyone, I got accepted into nursing school to start this semester but denied it due to second thoughts. Is nursing like high school with the drama and people talking about you/judging you? My first bachelors is in education and I love how supportive everyone is, my team is all about surviving and helping each other to all succeed. I noticed that nurses talk a lot about patients and each other. Will becoming a nurse anesthetist or nurse practitioner help escape the “high school” drama and unnecessary chattering that goes on? What is your take on drama in the nursing field?

Finish teaching degree before nursing school?
Hello everyone, I was just accepted into a nursing program cohort I wanted but now having second thoughts about entering this round and instead finish my last semester of teaching, get my certificate and then start the program January instead of August.. I have a newborn so I figured that’s more money every month right now I only make a little over $1,000 a month working a minimum wage job while in school, I could make $3,500 a month as a teacher. But my job now is just 6 hours, 5 days a week the other two days is perfect to work with my nursing school schedule with teaching it’s at least 40 hours plus prep and I could do the evening nursing program. Teaching is a lot of time away from my baby everyday though. What would you do?

Maricopa Nursing Prereqs; BIO156 before 201? CHM130?
I didn’t really see anything from 156 cross over to 201. Even the method of studying was completely different. Wouldn’t recommend 156 before 201 if you can avoid it.

Maricopa Nursing CEP 2019 (Applicants for April 1st - May 31st)
When I put my application in at GCC the advisor wrote my A- in stats as an A. I think it depends on whoever does ur application since I’ve seen people tell me theirs got knocked down. I asked the advisor when he put an A why he didn’t knock it down and I don’t think he really knew what he was doing lol but I’m not complaining ?♀️.

Full-time studying education plus nursing on top?
Hello Everyone, I'm on the waitlist to start the RN program at Maricopa Community Colleges. I'm really nervous because I'm also going to be finishing my teaching degree at ASU where I have student teaching Mon-Thurs 8-3, classes all day Friday. My nursing spot should be evenings so I would go after I student teach. I will only need to take the 9 credit nursing block on top for 2 semesters before I get my BA, but is that extreme? It's 14 credits at ASU (5 credits from student teaching so only 3 other "real" courses) and the 9 nursing credits. If I don't work during this time and don't have kids is it possible? Thanks!
