Maricopa Nursing CEP 2019 (Applicants for April 1st - May 31st)

Published

There is already a post for CEP 2019 Summer Start so I figured I would make a new post for those applying next round. I am curious to see how many people plan to apply and how competitive this round will be.

I am applying to PVCC/NAU with 84 points. Thank you to those who participate and good luck next round! ????

Congrats! That's awesome!

How long were you on the waitlist if you don't mind me asking?

Oh thank you ? so my time stamp is 07/03/2017 it felt like eternity ?but hey is worth it ???good luck to you

Hi I am applying or turning in my application tomorrow! I thought I already did but I was wrong lol! If I calculated correctly I have 82.5 points which I feel is not too good because my advisor told me the lowest accepted last term was an 80 (or 79) and highest was a 86. But seems like we all have different replies to what was accepted lol Good luck everyone!

Oh, almost forgot applying to EMCC( first choice) /GWCC/GCC/ with NAU?

P.S. I feel like I am applying a little too late? Or am I just freaking out?

I think we all feel like our points aren’t good enough and I know we will all freak out for the next month and a half. It sucks that no one can’t get a straight answer when it comes to scores, but I think they do that on purpose. I feel like they don’t want us to feel bad about our scores so they kinda just throw numbers out ?

I don’t think you applied too late, they give you to May 31st to turn in CEP apps so you’re totally fine.

I’m sending positive vibes out to you guys and I hope we get in.

Good luck! I can't apply for another week after I finish my last 2 classes and its killing me but we have until the 30th to apply my advisor warned me that they wont be open on the 31st due to summer hours at least at MCC

Hello all,

I just applied to the CEP today. My top 3 choices in order are: MCC, GWCC, and SCC. I am in the same boat as many of you, I have an 81.2. I feel as if it is not competitive enough. I was told by the MCC advisor that the lowest score they placed last round was a 79. So there is hope, crossing my fingers!

To all of you who are nervous about whether or not they will get accepted, remember that it doesn't matter how long it takes, just keep on trying. If I don't get accepted, I plan on receiving my associates to acquire more points and re-apply.

Best of luck to you all, and I will make sure to update you guys on whether or not I was accepted or denied ?

Why is it that some people are able to put 3 CC's on their application, but others are only allowed 2? Does it have to do with the University you apply to?

I know on the application it said choose up to 3 CC's. Not sure if the application is different for everyone ( prob not since it's on the website) but has nothing to do with the Uni you choose.

That's crazy! I just went on to look at the online version and it looks the same as the one I got from my GCU advisor, but I was only allowed to select 2 schools. Maria at CGCC even told me I could only choose 2. I hope this doesn't effect my ability to get in this round!

That is crazy, the application I printed from MCC had 3 choices. It's really weird that some offer two and some offer three. They should all be the same.

I don't know for sure, but it may actually be because of the university, I had been looking at Franklin Pierce, because I already have the pre and co-req's and it's on the cheaper side, but it's only partnered with EMCC, GCC, and SCC, while I would prefer MCC. I'm not applying this time around and honestly not sure I will even do the CEP (I already have a bachelors and masters, so I'm better off doing the ADN and then getting an RN-MSN), but that would be my guess that it is because of the university.

The university you choose does not make a difference. It is the CC that basically decides whether you get a seat or not. If you get into the CC, then whichever Uni you choose will accept you, as long as you meet their minimum requirements (for the CEP). And, assuming you applied for the CEP, you should have met their minimum requirements in order to apply. So, in other words - your Uni place is guaranteed if you meet the requirements, if you get a place at the CC.

Hope that makes sense - feel free to ak questions, I'm happy to answer =0)

Hey @Apple-Core, I was just referring to the reason why some have been able to choose 3 Maricopa schools and why others have only be able to apply to 2, it looks like not all of the universities partner with all of the MCC schools. I definitely understand how the requirements part works ? Others had some questions about the how many schools you can apply to and it was my guess as to what may be the issue.
