aint sure if there is already an existing march 2011 test takers' support group. nonetheless, i ought to just create one.. study tips and advices, as well as encouragement, motivation, support, and prayers from each and everyone of us may play a big role in our preparation for this battle. let's all be rn's!! good luck to us!! may the good lord be with us all in our way to passing the nclex!!
I had exactly 2 questions about infection control! 2 on pharm. Most of my questions were prioritization and the dreaded SATA. I literally groaned whenever another one popped up....but in the back of my mind I was cheering because that meant I was staying in the passing level questions. Mine shut off at 75. My friend took hers today and had at least 25 pharm questions, very few infection control, and tons of SATA. She had 81 questions and just got the good pop up. It depends on the luck of the draw I guess.
My chicken hez TB helped me answer both of those questions correctly, btw!
sickle cell crisis hydration must come first because oxygen can't even reach the cells once the sickling has begun.
i did a question on lacharity book .... a dr ordered all this on a patient with sickle cell crises, which order is the priority? oxygen is their 1st priority but i did another question in one of my kaplan trainer and hydration was the answer... so now which is best????????
Kaplan has a very useful strategy for questions like this. Basically you ask yourself, "If I can do one thing and go home, which would it be?" Hydration, pain management, and oxygen are the SCC trifecta. If you use the ABCs, hydration is a circulatory issue so oxygen would win out.
But I'm pretty sure I've seen rationales to support both answers, so what do I know? lol
