A thread for all those in March who are planning to take the NCLEX offering both support and any hints or tips that help
Good luck to all
i think we ought to start soon because march is fast approaching...although i intend to take it by the end of march, still some are scheduled earlier...since most of us have difficulty with cardio...lets start with Cardio then. Do we have to discuss Adults and Peds separately???
These are some of the toughest ones:
Cardiac dysrhythmias
MI
CAD
Cardiogenic Shock
Heart Failure
Do we all read the topics first then discuss??? We don't have to write everything from our books here right and besides its not right to get texts or written information from somewhere already printed. Any thoughts???
hi OR2CA.
I agree with you...Miss JKm... you have the list of names so if you want me to put up a date wise and system wise list .. could you plz add the names...also the few of us who want to join in so far ...maybe we could start off with them...I'll post the list of systems with the dates...corrections can be done by anyone.. also
OR2CA
check icufaqs.com its in the icu sticky in speciality forum.. it really helped me understand rhythm irregularities..also MI ....CAD etc
and i remember heart failure as
Rightsided =REst of the body
Leftsided=Lungs
ok guys sounds like we have a plan! i will update the member list now.
i think its a good idea to review peds separately. will we also reivew maternity and psych separately also? I also agree with OR2CA about not copying the text word for word. I try to type what i remember first and then supplement that with text. others are always free to fill in whatever, because i think that helps us learn.
ok, i am off to update the member list

Hi Miss Jkm,Please include me in the March/early April support group. I studied and took the November boards and failed. I really need everyones support for motivation to re-focus and start studying again. Failing the first time was a hard pill to swallow. I'm planning to use Suzanne's plan this time around (4th Ed. Saunders...). Oh and I waited almost two months to get test results back from the CA RN boards.

Miss Jkm /OR2CAcould you add to that?? like if you think change the dates or something...becoz... its like 25 sub headings i.e. if you study drugs by themselves...and if we calculate the remaining days we have about 29 +9=38 days... so if you want to give a day to all systems ,and another day for meds =22 days...then psych, maternity,pediatrics =16 days...5 days each...

Great idea Miss Jkm... so now we know that everyone wants to do a systemwise review.. how about making a date wise list of systems with names..any volunteers? .. also how about putting up a list say for this week .. then we take it week by week..
