Mandated HPV Vaccinations?

Published

Anyone from a state with mandated HPV vaccinations? How is the compliance and if you could give me a snapshot on a pushback scenarios? How is administration handling those not in compliance? TIA

offlabel, HPV is transmitted by skin to skin contact. From what I've read, about 65% -80% of the people who come in contact with an infected person will get the virus, it depends on the recipient's immune system and his/her ability to fight it. I hope this helps, although I am not certain as to "how long" (per your post) it can be transmitted.

The following is a link I found which may somehow be helpful. (Some of the responses are poppycock!):

I am not anti HPV vaccine but I do not think it should be mandated. IMO increasing the # of mandated vaccinations is only going to lead to an increase in parents using a religious exemption to be excused from all vaccinations so I think we need to be very careful about what we decide needs to be mandated.

California just did away with personal belief exemptions. Although, HPV is not mandated here. Students can only be exempted if their is a medical reason from their provider.

Ok, I just was about done with my less than short response and as what happens when you are about done with that lengthy chart note, poof it was gone. So now quick version no flourishes.

In CA HPV is not currently mandated.. and personally as a parent I see no real reason not to want to get them vaccinated without being forced. On one hand prevents HPV which has been linked with an increased chance of getting various CA. And requires small poke. Or on the other hand don't and have increased chance for dead kid. Seems an obvious choice to me.

which leads me to those terrible vax that are now mandated in CA to attend school. This whole bit started when this one researcher, who wasn't even really qualified to run the study.. made public his results with a glorious fanfare.. vax can cause autism. Well then several prominent celebrities got involved and there were talk shows and PSA's on TV.. there was a great reduction in the % of people who vaccinated.. well then we see these long lost illnesses like measles and mumps making a come back. And then it came out the study everyone was touting as fact .. was debunked, wrong. And no other studies that have been done since do not find a link to autism. There are those few that shouldn't get it like where there is a family history of negative reaction. BUT the release of the info that stated the original study was wrong didn't get the press, talk shows or celebrities so people are still holding on to that fear.

we all were vaccinated, we are ok. And the vax has been updated and refined. And so the previous law that also actually mandated them had s great big loophole. Your MD could write a note saying no or you could have religious beliefs that said no. And no one really paid attn. and there more reported cases in CA (some that were in fact brought in with people who had been exposed elsewhere.. so it was decided since folks weren't taking the initiative, the govt jumped in, and tightened up that loophole which they shouldn't have had to. It was about the greater good. And in the end who suffers most? The kids at home that are likely not getting the education or skills you get in school. And I get to include my grandson in that list. Because his mom, my daughter, who got very very inaccurate info from unqualified sources and won't listen to me or studies and articles I have provided is refusing to have him vax so he can go to kindergarten. And you can keep a child out of school for kindergarten because it isn't until 1st grade that schooling is required. So he misses a significant step in preparing for his early school years and he will start 1st grade behind. Who suffers, he does. And he had no reaction to his first vax..

So theres my rant and justifications.

But after all that.. I refuse flu shots , actually any shot that isn't required as in no shot = no work., reason? Scared of needles.. .. but only IMs, blood and IV's no problem..

so now it's off to bed as I think I am becoming delirious. ✌️️

Yea, well.

California. :sarcastic:
