Ok Live, here we go...our new home LOL!!! I'm really glad you went to the info session, i knew you would get more info actually being there. Were there other students that were on the waitlist there? What 1/3rd did jaquie say you fell in? It is good news to know that they make it through most of the waitlist! I really want you guys to get in so we can have a connection with other people...i hate walking in a class and not knowing anyone LOL. So do you have most if your prereqs completed and was manch your first choice?
I can't imagine how hard it is to be in limbo...I didnt get in last year because i got 90s in math and science and a 49 in reading!! READING, can you believe it. My test had to be reschedualed because of the blackout and i think that threw me off my game....it was horrible. I cried...and cried. Luckily when i took my NLN again I did much, much better. I almost feel getting flat out rejected is easier then the endless wait of the list. At least know that 1000 people applied this year and waitlist or not, you are still the best of the best, the brightest of the brightest :)
Orientation was good! There was about 5 people absent. There was student that showed up a little late and then left at break and another who didnt roll in until its was more then half way over (plus she didnt even bring a pen or anything) So maybe these two arn't that interested. Also there was one student who sat on her lap top on face book the whole time and another who sat there and knitted, which I thought was so rude. I mean they couldnt be bothered to pay attention and i sat there fighting tears the whole time just thrilled to be there...and i know you girls would feel the same way as me...so i thought that was crappy. The orientation was kind of scary in the sense that there so much work involved...so i wouldnt be surprised if it scares some people off. Oh also when she asked how many people had to take a&p 2 there was like 8 people who raised thier hand. You need to have BLS CPR if you get into the program and there offering 4 classes of it this summer if your interested all you have to do is register. There is also a math exam in september you have to pass with a 90% if you dont you have to work in caps till your up to speed. To study its from Henkes med math edition 6 the first 3 chapters. So i would say both of you should call monday since its after the first and ask where you stand and if they think thier will be any more progression on the wait list. We havent even picked classes yet, we do so on the 12th. So i bet whoever doesnt come to register will get a call and ask if they plan to or not. Good luck ladies...CALL ON MONDAY! :)
Thanks for the info Danielle. Last night was my last formal class of A&P II wish that could count toward my current status and give me a boost but it doesn't.
Five people missing makes things sound more hopeful. I can't believe some of the behaviour you described of those in attendance. Do they not realize how lucky they are to have been offered a place in that room
I most def would have been like you...overwhelmed with joy and excitement and ready to pay attention.
I will be calling bright and early Monday.
Thanks for the heads up on the Math test..I'll look into that next week as well.
Thank you Danielle...is that book available at the bookstore or Barnes and Noble? It can't hurt to study up before September. Live...you'll be at the meeting on the 20th right? If you are we should exchange pics before so we know who to look for :) I have to say my spirits are up today and I will be calling on Monday. Enjoy the beautiful weather...I'll try to get out tomorrow but classes call grrrr.

Like I said before I will gladly count the people who are there friday, I will even ask as much as I can about the people still on the wait list :) I know it would be hard but you can get accepted up to two weeks into start of classes...the girl I just bought my books from lasted 3 days her first semester and quit, and they filled her spot the same day. Good luck ladies, im still thinking about ya!
