Not male, or a NICU nurse, but as a parent of a NICU graduate my husband and I LOVED the male nurse my daughter had. By joking around ( yelling at me for not having a full battery in my camcorder for instance) put me at ease when I was freaking out inside. And he didnt hold back when telling me the things that were done for my daughter ( suctioning a ton of poop out of her belly).
Hello guys,Currently I am a third year nursing student. Just finished clinical posting at NICU last month during pediatrics module. What can I say is that I really enjoy working with babies. I want to know whether they are male nurses out there who currently working in neonatal unit. Is it possible for me to start working in NICU?
Thank you :)
I'm a male and have been working in the NICU for 7 years now. It's a great place to work as a guy. I'd be happy to talk to you more about it if you are interested.

I already added you as my friend. I really looking forward to work in NICU but the competition was very high here. We produced lots of new nurses every year. The fact that I am male so it was quite hard you know. I believe there are no male nurses working in NICU in my country. So can you share how you made it to NICU?
