Hey Everyone,
Long time lurker here!
I made a promise to myself. The only way that I will ever make an Allnurses account, is when I apply to nursing school. Well, that time has finally arrived, and I just finished submitting my application to the City Colleges of Chicago School of Nursing. I clicked on that submit button like a boss!
Good luck to everyone who applied.
Hello everyone! I'm new to this forum and I want to start off by congratulating you all on your acceptance into the Nursing Program and I look forward to meeting you all. Today, I called the Nursing Department @ Malcolm X College in regards to more information about the upcoming orientation and was told that emails should be sent out shortly and to keep checking my email account. So, hopefully we'll be getting something soon. Hope this help you guys!

Thanks for the update!
I got the e-mail about an hour ago. I accepted my seat to the RN program and they included the handbook for the LPN program.
Can someone confirm if this info is for the RN program?
"All students are required to attend the mandatory 3 day orientation, August 1-3, 2016, in room 1104. Registration is 8:30am-9:00am. The session will begin promptly at 9:00am and end at 3:00pm."
I just don't want to show up for the orientation that is for LPN students.

that is odd. I have not gotten any info yet for RN program and I just checked email. I submitted all documents and accepted my seat by email way before deadline. Any other RN folks get anything?

my email has ADN handbook attached. You might want to call tomorrow sounds like you got the wrong one.
Just got the list of all the things we need (physical, titers, BLS, etc.) and the deadline is 8/21. I wish everything wasn't so last minute. Some people work full-time 9-5 and it's really hard to get doctor's appointments. Are there any quick places that will do all these things and have the results in fast?

Heartland Health Centers on 845 Wilson Ave (773-506-4283), will complete all physical requirements, including the titers and drug screen for a flat cash only rate of $260. The doctor is only there Monday thru Friday till noon.
