Hey Everyone,

Long time lurker here!

I made a promise to myself. The only way that I will ever make an Allnurses account, is when I apply to nursing school. Well, that time has finally arrived, and I just finished submitting my application to the City Colleges of Chicago School of Nursing. I clicked on that submit button like a boss!

Good luck to everyone who applied.

Oh wow that is crazy!! But that is a good point, i'm going to save ALL my receipts haha. I just got an email stating i can take the TEAS exam. Once i have that, i should hopefully find out if i get accepted! Also, congrats on being almost done!! I know this is a relative question, but is it a hard program, say any harder than maybe human anatomy? I'm psyching myself out trying to figure out how the program is and if my chances of success are high - if i study and stay on top of things of course. Good luck! Oh also, do you have a job lined up? I'm always curious as to whether or not i'll be able to get a job in a hospital with an AA degree or not. Thanks! :)

Oh - and can anyone tell me how difficult the TEAS exam is? I've been doing practice ones online, or so i think they're TEAS practice ones, but the reading section is hard - it'll give a full on story, then ask you to break it down, or determine if its a story that is analyzing, etc. Here is an example - can someone tell me if this is how the TEAS is cuz i dont want to study it wrong :(

Here is something i found online but i'm not sure if its how the teas will be:

Technology is rapidly expanding the scope of capabilities for both professional and personal use; such is the case with smart phones. Professionals now have devices available to them capable of digital media, internet access, phone communication, multi-person scheduling and office tools for documents and presentations. Businesspeople that are often mobile may maximize the use of these critical features on smart phones. Individuals who simply enjoy the luxury of multi-function devices often use these devices for frivolous pursuits such as downloading catchy ring tones, instant messaging about the latest gossip and looking up the world record for most cans crushed on one's head during the Superbowl. This fusion of capabilities and increased availability of such devices could be a sign of a growing blend in society between work and personal life, or individuals could simply be taking a luxurious approach to their connectivity in personal lives.

What is the purpose of the conclusion sentence?

Does that look like a question under reading that will be on the TEAS?

Thank you!

Hi all,

I'm in the process of applying to the Fall 2018 semester.

I scored alright on the TEAS (85 overall and I think 90 in reading) and finished my CNA at the beginning of this month. I had to get special consideration from the admission committee (which I did), because I had a low GPA from when I got my Bachelor's degree 8 years ago. My CCC GPA is pretty good, though. I received the link to the Castlebranch background check yesterday and already submitted the order. Can anyone who was already accepted into the program for a previous term give me an idea of what happens next? Thanks!

Hi, future nurses.

I'm currently in N102, I'm nervous about the fundamental ATI exam. Is there any suggestions that will help me?
