Hey guys! My name’s Aminah and I’m gearing up to apply to Malcolm X’s Fall 2021 nursing program (woo-hoo!). Previous Malcolm X forums have been super helpful with giving me an idea of the program/ preparing me to apply so I wanted to start one for Fall 2021! 

I believe the application cycle begins January 4th. Would love to get in contact with other applicants! Have you taken the TEAS already? Do you still have a prereq to complete? Let’s chat ?.

I submitted everything on the list and it turned out my GPA was not where it needed to be. It sucks, I cried. But I was able to submit a letter so that they can review my application and decide if they'll reconsider! Wish me luck and if you pray, keep me in your prayers LOL.

@Dortessia Lomax congrats!  That's amazing and trust me, I know that feeling of relief.  You can now call yourself a nursing student ?

I'm looking forward to starting nursing courses next fall- make sure you pick your classes ASAP!

congrats everyone who got in! im currently in the nursing program at Malcolm finishing my first semester. I highly recommend finishing all your sciences before the program because nursing 101 is a heavy class! Good luck to you all!

Update:

So, I received a congratulatory email today with further information regarding the drug test, links to purchase books and uniform, dates for 2 mandatory meetings in August, as well as other timelines. It also urged to register for classes as soon as possible.

Which courses do we need to register for? Only Fundamentals of Nursing?
