IDFPR License Pending Illinois
@LPN_JT congrats that's awesome news! I actually drove down there on my day off which was yesterday (8/10). I met with a lady who was super nice, she confirmed that she had everything she needed from me and told me that the person who reviews these documents is currently out on a family emergency so it was taking a little longer than usual, but that overall- it is not a lengthy process. She assured me that it wouldn't be much longer, although she didn't give me an actual time frame. I still felt better going and talking with them. IDK where this person went or for how long, but I'm glad they got to yours somehow before. Maybe mine is just behind. I'm really hoping maybe within the week... I will keep you posted and whoever else uses this thread!

IDFPR License Pending Illinois
@LPN_JT Yeah that doesn't make sense! 3-4 weeks is such a long time, that's so frustrating. I only got the confirmation email that sends automatically. I was really hoping that I would have an email or something from them by end of the week but it doesn't look like that is going to happen. My next day off is Thursday, so I am planning to make the 3hr drive myself if I don't hear by then. Only because I've read that people who drive down there were able to get their license posted same day if not a day or two later. I'm hoping that is the case with me and that I don't waste the time driving down there, but at this point, it's a risk I have to take not lose my job offer. I sure hope you get your license BEFORE your birthday so that you can enjoy it without the stress of this hanging over your head. Keep me posted on what you hear and if you decide to drive down. I'll do the same ??

IDFPR License Pending Illinois
Hello all. I am currently going through this deficiency thing. Up until this point, things have moved relatively fast. I was able to pass all background checks, sit for the NCLEX, pass, and received my passing letter with instructions to mail back info and payment for the license application. It's been about 2 weeks after sending my license application, and last night I received an email about a deficiency hold, and that I needed to send in official court documents and a statement regarding an arrest 15 years ago- back in 2008. I immediately woke up this morning, went to the courthouse, and had everything emailed back that they requested by noon today. I'm wondering how long it will take to hear back about my license being issued or pushed through? Does anyone have experience with emailing them and the response time? I'm thinking that I might give it a week, but am considering making an in-person trip to Springfield with all of the documents if it takes longer. I already have a job offer and need the license in a timely manner to not lose it. @LPN_JT did you email, or mail your documents? I'm curious how long it will take to hear back since it sounds like we're at the same place.

Malcolm X College-City Colleges of Chicago Nursing Fall 2021
Hey Jacob! I have lecture on Fridays along with @Future_RN_25. My clinical labs are on Thursday and Fridays and I just found out that I'll be at St. Anthony Hospital. I only have the drug test left to complete and I was also wondering when and how to do it. I emailed (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) and she said I could either get it done through CB or through my healthcare provider. I don't see any way to get it done through CB though?? I'm thinking I should make an appointment to see my Dr. ASAP. Amina, did you get an email from professor (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME)? There are a lot of books that show up for all different nursing courses at MX this fall, but under 101 fundamentals, it believe it said we need just one. You do need it to get the access code and get set up on craven course point before the start of class. Mine is all set up now.

I haven't heard anything yet either!! My labs are on Thursday and Fridays. I assumed our nursing labs would be in person, wasn't sure about lectures though. I'm hoping we find out more information soon. Also instructions on when and where to get drug tested before the semester starts... I'll be on close watch.

@Rockstar that's amazing- congrats! Yeah, I got a 75% and I was really stressing about it. It was before I started my BIO and CHEM classes this semester so I really didn't do well on the science. I glad it was good enough though! I spoke to my advisor who said classes open up for registration on 4/3, so it definitely pays to have an early decision so that we can grab the class times that work best for us!

Hi Meh, Aminah and I started super early and it has definitely paid off. However, I do not think it's too late! But, it also depends on how much you have to do. If you have your prereqs done, the most time-consuming thing will be getting your CNA certification... not sure if you have that yet? I took an accelerated course through ICI and it took me a month. I would assume that now they pretty busy with applications so they might be slower to update the checklist, but don't hesitate to email or call them! They will definitely give you until at least the 4/17 deadline. Hope this helps!

Congrats right back to you! This is such great news. More motivation to hustle through the last half of this semester. To think, I was even considering re-taking the TEAS! Happy to have this weight off my shoulders now. I also just landed a hospital job as a CNA which I'm also still in shock from. Overall, I'm incredibly blessed and grateful. I honestly thought it was bad news since it came early! PHEW! I hope you get a chance to celebrate in some way! ?

The CNA state exam wasn't bad. I feel confident that I passed but won't know until Monday??. After Monday, I will have all requirements done! Does anyone know the steps from here? Is it all a waiting game until after the 4/17 deadline, or do they begin offering seats to those who have everything done? Hoping for the latter, but I don't think anyone knows for certain!
