Mad cows, orange alert...scared?

How are things different in your area because of the latest rise to Orange alert? Are you getting patients in the ER's because of concern over beef? How are you personally dealing with the Orange alert?

I totally trust the beef industry and the government to set aside monetary concerns to keep us safe and informed. :lol2: :rotfl: :wink2:

I Just go Golfing and dont worry about all the hype the Bushies are throwing at us with their Phony alerts, thats just done to try and roll up points for themselves

I suppose we could all move to bunkers in the mountains of Montana and live off the land.

Truly though, what does being scared get you? An ulcer? You can choose to let fear cripple you, or you can choose to acknowlege there are risks that come with life, then go on an live it anyway.

I started this thread to see if I was out of the mainstream...meaning I am not making any special plans for the next 911. I am not afraid of the mad cows...but I do sympathize with them. As I said in another thread...I am AGAIN going to give up meat because of the way that meat factory farmers raise their animals, slaughter them and put them on grocery shelves. Their treatment is inhumane. I live in a house, not a bunker, in the mountains, not in Montana, but in Georgia. I can raise my own veggies and fruit, and if I choose, buy my meat locally from farmers who grass feed, then corn feed their animals before slaughter. Right now, I'm not feeling too carnivorous. I don't mean any comment I make to be taken personally. I am very curious about others life experiences...why they feel the way they do. I am new to this site and very excited to be exchanging ideas with the smartest folks on earth...nurses!!!

Nope, not scared a bit. Had tri-tip for Christmas Eve dinner and Prime Rib for Christmas.

We live in the boondocks . . . .

I feel so sorry for those cows that get it. That looks absolutely miserable.

That was ONE cow that they found. Think about the many that they have missed.

I personally am more concerned about the billions of dangers they dont bother to tell us about. BTW tweety if you hadnt added the smilies I was about to fall off my chair.
