Macomb Community College 2017

Published

Hello,

I'm new to this site and I plan on applying for Macomb's nursing program Feb, 2017!

I would love to hear from anyone else applying. I'm very nervous and excited.

What alternate were you and what was your grade point of you don't mind me asking ?

Hello everyone! Not going to lie this thread has made me a bit nervous, I applied to the program with a hesi of 90 but my gpa is a bit lower.....

Does anyone have any information on the start dates? I wasn't aware that there were multiple start dates, and does anyone know how many people they take per start date? Thanks :)

They take 160 people total and there are four start dates so 40 people at each starte date. I believe they are August, October, January and march. I talke d to counselor today and around 350-400 people applied, but I was told usually half of them don't have all their classses done which gives the people that do a leg up! Good luck !! I also found out Oakland community college takes 216 and only 220 applied this yeAr

Thank you so much for that! I feel slightly better about it..... May cannot come soon enough!

Oh man I am so nervous now by reading all these comments. It seems as though that the people applying this year have extremely high gpa's and hesi scores :( I'm not confident anymore that I will make the cut :( Prayers please :(

That is exactly what I got. Do you know what the average HESI score was?

I got an 88 on my HESI with a 4.0.

I am so nervous! My GPA is only around a 3.4 but I got a 90 on the HESI. I am dying of nervousness!!!

I'm applying with the exact same. 3.4 gpa and 90 on the Hesi. Good luck to us!! I can't stop obsessively reading this thread and checking the mail religiously... just in case.

So I applied with a GPA of 4.0 and HESI score of 84. I emailed MCC today, this was the response:

Hello:

Disqualification letters were mailed out to students who did not meet the minimum program application requirements were mailed on March 9th.

The goal is to have letters mailed out to applicants informing them of their GPA and composite score used for ranking by April 18th.

At this time we do not have final data regarding the HESI score and average GPA. That information will likely not be available until May.

Thanks,

So they won't be sending out acceptance letters until May? That's really late, they are usually sent out by the end of April in previous years :(

In 53 more long days we will know for sure!

Hello everyone, I also applied this year. I was reading the blog of last years students and felt pretty confident with my scores but now I'm not as sure. Good luck to all and keep us updated :)
