Hi all!
I was wondering if anyone has registered to take their HESI in the fall and are planning to apply to Macomb's nursing program for the 2013 admission cycle!?
Let me know!
I was thinking the same thing. I wish they would just send out emails! I called at 4:30 this afternoon and asked if they could tell me how many were officially ranked and I was told they weren't finished yet but that it was about 300. So I guess we won't be able to find out until the letters come
I have difficulty understanding why ranking takes so long, I would assume a program could rank everyone who applied in seconds, unless they're having a person look at them one by one...
"Hmm... An A in English... A B+ in Microbiology... A 91 on their HESI... Okay now multiply by 2 and divide by 25... Carry the 2... Okay you have a 92.12 score so you rank... 45th."
Which, honestly, would not shock me.
@bayliedynell- I would rather get the money sooner than later so i'm gonna have to apply sometime this week! Thank you for the info:).
They ranked 335 students. I called a little over a week ago, and i had to call 3 times to get that info... If one person can't help you, ask them to transfer you to someone who can help you.
So anxious to find out ...
Something tells me that the ranking takes longer than needed because they WANT it to. For example, people who applied to the other selective admissions programs have a chance to pull their nursing applications before letters go out, and it seems Macomb wants to give any applicants that are on the fence about nursing a few chances to back out because there are so many of us who can't picture ourselves doing anything but nursing. Good luck to everyone. I don't think I will be getting in this round I thought my GPA was much higher but with the classes transferring from Baker I only ended up with a 3.3 and a 90 on my HESI so I'm praying for a miracle!

This question has probably already been answered, but if the ranking was finished today and we're just waiting on the letters, would it be possible to go to Macomb and ask if we've been accepted, or do we have to wait for the letters?
