2011 Macomb Community College HESI and GPA scores for nursing program

I'm trying to get into the Macomb Community College Nursing program. I just took the HESI test and scored a 86.5%. I Also have a 4.0 GPA. What are my chances into getting into the program for 2011, since my HESI is still kind of low?

If anyone can relate please comment. Post scores so we can compare! Thanks for your thoughts:)

Oh no!! did they tell you why? or just say "no we wont help you"...?? What will you do?

I took too many credits at my previous school and now I can't appeal the decision at all. I called financial aid and they advised me to look for student loans at the bank or from Sallie Mae. I would still try if I were you. You'll never know unless you do and I guess I didn't really have an extenuating circumstance. Good luck to you!!

For some reason I recall them saying they would be mailed on the 21st; so Thursday fits.

I just turned in my appeal form the other day. I hope my appeal doesn't get denied. I've taken too many credits because I already have an ABA degree. ;-/ I guess I'll find out in a couple of weeks!

I had a previous BA when I started the nursing program at MCC. I appealed my denial each year and was approved for aid. (Loans only though, once you have a bachelors you can't get any other type of aid for an associates.)

Check the denial letter for the date that the appeal was for. My form was for 2010-2011 and the denial was actually for this summer. I have printed the new 2011-2012 form online for filing a new appeal - the next board meeting is June 29.

Does anyone's financial aid summary on their website have an amount there yet? I'm supposed to be receiving a pell grant, and I had to fax my tax forms over to them by June 1st, which I did, although my fax machine can act up sometimes. It use to say that there was no information (on their website) at this time, and now it just says $0. I'm hoping I didn't miss out on this because of my stupid fax machine! Please let me know!

Lauren - I have a friend that works in financial aid and they are in the process of transferring All files to computers so that is probably why the posting is delayed.

Also, I spoke to ------- today and we should all have our schedules by the end of the week.

My financial loan amount has been posted online for about 2 weeks now, it is a loan though so I'm not sure if that makes a difference or not.

Received my letter, start October! The 18th is the first class. Options for labs as far as days and times but no options for lecture. M and Th 8-11.

any one else have theirs yet?

All 40 in lecture together, all labs 8 each class.

Unless things have changed from last semester, you will not have an option for your lab days either - labs/clinicals are assigned to you.

so we register for 1155 and 1145 and wait on the others? or will they tell us when we register?
