2010 Macomb Community College Applicants.

I just finished taking the HESI at Macomb Community College today and got a 91.02. (Not very happy about it) My GPA for all the required prerequisites is a 3.58. With all of the admission changes for 2010, I'm not sure where I stand. I'm assuming the accepted GPA's and HESI scores will be lower than years past. What does everybody think? Do I stand a chance? Please share your GPA on the required courses and your HESI score. Thanks.....

Does anyone know if a 4.0 GPA and a 93 Hesi score is competitive for a spot in the 2010 program? I heard that they expect the Hesi scores to go down this year due to the addition of the A&P portion. :)

Also, does anyone know when they plan on mailing the letters out?

Definitely! I sure hope so....i have a 4.0 and a 94.5 and am hoping for a spot too. I heard the letters will be going out towards the end of April. Last year my friend got in the program with a 4.0 and a 92 HESI....so I think we're good. I sure hope. This wait is killing me.

Wow, Congrats! You're definitely in! I would feel more confident if I would have scored over a 94. If I'm not mistaken, I believe that the last person that was accepted last year had a 3.86 GPA and a 91.7 on the hesi. I received that information during one of the orientation seminars. I would have liked to have scored higher on the hesi, and would have, but I scored an 88% on the A&P portion. Most of the other sections I received anywhere from a 95% to 100%. I feel that my scores are borderline. I really feel that most people applying will have a 4.0 and that it will come down to the hesi scores. I'm just hoping that the average hesi score did go down this year due to the A&P section. If it weren't for that section, my score would have been very competitive. The suspense is killing me! Lol

I got a 90 on the hesi and a 4.0, what do you guys think will that make the cut? When MCC accepts the applicants do they do it by groups... like the top 25 find out first? or is it all at once? and when did they find out last year... im pretty stressed out lol.

Everyone gets their letter mailed and hopefully in their mailbox on the same day! I remember the day we all got them last year someone got it at like 10am and posted about it on here so I was pretty much stalking the mailman all day once I knew he had the letter.

I think it was near the middle or end of april.

Out of curiosity, how was the math portion of the test? Did it consist of word problems or just plan Ole math problems?
