Hi!
I am looking for anyone who is attending/has graduated from LCCC's nursing program. Can you please share your acceptance details (when you got your letter, g.p.a., pax scores)? The school is so vague with their admissions details and rumors are constantly flying.
At the other end of the spectrum, if you have been denied admission to the program when did you get your letter, did they give a reason for denial?
Thank you to anyone who can help :) :)
Well I found out today that the point spread for getting in was 93 points- 48 points. There were nearly 2,000 applicants.
Little confused, do you mean the people who were accepted scored between 48-93 points on their application?? Do you know how points were assigned, or how many points you got? I was also told they had thousands of applicants, but I was also told that only about 1000 took the PAX and got a passing score.

They guy in the admissions office said that everyone who was accepted had a total point total of 48-93 points. Points for (from what I am recalling):
GPA
If you previously applied and were denied you got bonus points
Points for each class completed and the grade received
points if you were enrolled this semester
no points at all for courses in progress, that is not even considered
no points for the pax, just that it was passing
I am not sure what my points were. They said if i receive a denial I can schedule an appointment with the guy.
I saw the paper that they do all of our apps on. Pharmacology counts as a pre req even though its not listed on the main paper. Points are given for that.

3.8-4.0 gpa is 10 points and it goes down from there.

oh yeah, and they said 150 got accepted for the day program.
Yea, for 150 seats, you pretty much would need to have most prerequisites done. I wonder how close I was. Do you know how many points you get per class by grade?Mine STILL says applied. It's worse than not getting a denial. Lol.
Just checked, wanted to wait til I got home from school and grocery shopping, but its there, in all its soul crushing glory, "Denied". Blah.
and I calculated my points from the paper, I had 45. So I should be good for the December application. I hope. Its due December 1st now, not the 15th.
I just registered for sociology and have my fall schedule ready to be registered, pharm, dev. psych, and adv comp.
I already cried. Now I am just trying to stay motivated. There is a revised nursing packet online. I guess the PAX score will still be pass/fail because it makes no reference to a score.
Yours still says applied so maybe you still have a chance. I hope so. I hope you get in! That would be awesome! and then you can tell me all the secrets about passing when I get in (hopefully) for next time.

It is a 5 point spread, C being a 1. I believe that I saw an A in a 4 credit course is 6 points though. I saw the paper for a short time and was trying to memorize everything on it.
Maybe they just haven't gotten to my name. I have 10 points for GPA and 25 points for classes (5, I didn't count the FYE cause it's only 1 credit) , do they give points for grades in the h.s. Classes or is it you just need a C to be considered?
I had a lovely dream last night that I got an acceptance letter next week from one of the abandoned spots. I woke up upset because I know the chances of that are slim to none, especially now that I know my point spread.
