Lucile Packard residency 2015/2016

Published

Hello. I am applying for the Versant residency at Lucile Packard children's and wanted to start a thread for everyone. Wondering if they are mainly interested in candidates from the bay area that precepted at their facility?

I graduated August 31, and I just received my number to test today. I have it scheduled for early December. So for me, a little over three months total! I've heard anywhere between 2-4 months.

My friend received an email to interview today! I haven't heard anything back... Last time they sent out rejection emails first so I'm hoping that no news is good news. Good luck to everyone!

It didn't say on her email. There was only a link to sign up for an interview date. However she is turning it down because she has a job somewhere else

Hi all.

I received an email yesterday for an interview and was given 48 hours to reply with a date that works best for me. There was no mention of which unit but my unit of choice when I applied was L&D, good luck to everyone!

Has anyone heard back today?

I haven't heard anything either.

Not to be morbid but has anyone or heard of anyone receiving any indication that they were not accepted?

I called. I was told that they are still expecting to let more people know this week for interviews and still have some applications still in review. There is hope!

I received an email on 11/13 stating the same thing KrioH said... saying I had been invited to interview but did not specify the unit I applied for and had me fill out a survey for availability.

Does anyone know about the interview process? How the panel and unit interviews go? Types of questions? etc... I would love any input and advice!

Also, does anyone know someone who works at LPCH and how they like it (coworkers, support, pay, avg patient-nurse ratio etc)?
