Hi all!

Lucile Packard just opened their next round of applications. Just wanted to start a thread to talk about it! This is my second time applying, and it was so helpful to have support from one another. 

Are you applying/did you apply? What units are you most interested in?

I applied for PICU and Pedi Acute ?

Would anyone mind sharing which positions have been taken based on the facebook group? 

I have the tiniest bit of hope left, but would like to mentally move on if it's not happening. HR won't respond to my email or calls. Thank you!

The units that are currently represented in the FB group (those that have posted) are Hem/Onc (inpatient and float), PICU and CVICU (not critical care float) so technically four units! Nothing from others yet!

I feel ya. I’m just assuming that I didn’t get a critical care position at this point. Pretty frustrated since I’ve reached out to DL several times and got no response. I understand that they’re probably ridiculously busy and I’m trying to be patient but it’s now been two weeks since we were supposed to get some sort of update?

@Joklr956 I'm in the same boat ☹️ I'm operating under the assumption that I didn't get it either, but it would be nice to get an official rejection or something so we know for sure

I wouldn't completely dismiss the idea. I'm interviewing later today and I know someone who is interviewing for one of the acute care units tmw. I know every specialty is different but it sounds like things aren't finalized at all.

I had my interview today and they said I'd find out either tonight or tomorrow if I got the job. Hoping everyone hears back this week!

Hi! I wanted to ask how was the structure of your unit interview? Did they ask more behavioral questions or scenario questions ?

The second interview was also mostly behavioral! They just called and told me I didn't get the position but congrats to everyone who will be starting this March! ❤️

Sorry you didn’t get the position ☹️. Just curious did the call come from the unit manager or HR?

Someone I know who currently works in critical care float at LPCH told me that they are not hiring this cohort ?

Ugh that’s a bummer considering the manager was in my interview. I just wish they’d send out rejections already so I have a concrete answer.
