LSU Care Fall 2019

Hello guys! I wanted to start this thread to see if anyone is applying for the LSU Care Fall 2019 program? Applications are due next month and I am super nervous about submitting, and was wondering if anyone was feeling the same or knew anyone who is currently in the program. :/

How do you know which day they meet to discuss applicants? I'm trying to convince myself to stop checking my emails every five minutes.

@J_NurseyPants they told us before we wrote our essays that they meet every second Tuesday of the month and that April 8th they’ll meet and we should know by the end of this week or early next week! I keep checking mine just in case lol

They work pretty fast, I think we should hear back by Friday since there aren't that many seats ?

I reviewed last years blog on this website they found out the day after the committee meeting. So, we could potentially find out as early as tomorrow. I can not stop checking my emails either.

When they mentioned the number of applicants and available spots, were they speaking specifically about the CARE program or the BSN program in general? I know they mentioned both would be treated the same for the first part of the program (idk if that meant first semester or year)

@J_NurseyPantsshe said that they were accepting about 100 applicants out of ~165 for traditional.

I feel like everyone gets different information. When I was at one of the information sessions, they were talking about expanding the program and excepting more people than they have in the past. I guess we will see.
