LSU Care Fall 2019

Published

Hello guys! I wanted to start this thread to see if anyone is applying for the LSU Care Fall 2019 program? Applications are due next month and I am super nervous about submitting, and was wondering if anyone was feeling the same or knew anyone who is currently in the program. :/

I just submitted my application tonight. I am extremely nervous! I was a terrible

Student as an 18 year old. Now I am 26, I have retaken all the prerequisites and have a 3.558. I am hoping my past doesn't stand in the way of me getting into the program.

Hey! I'm applying for Fall 2019 as well! I'm getting nervous as well, trying to finish up last minute things.

That's awesome, I submit my application next week. I just finished three pre-req's and waiting for final grades to come in. When I took the orientation with Dr. Pierce online she said that having a GPA above 3.00 puts you in good standing. Hopefully we hear back by February for interviews :)

How's the application process for you?

I hope so too! The only thing I'm really missing is my references. My professor didn't submit it before she went on break and that's the nerve wrecking part; waiting on that. Question, did you pay for the nursing cas to input your transcript grades for you?

Oh my gosh :/ I can't believe she left town before completing the reference. Do you have another professor that would write you a reference?

And to your question no, I didn't get to that section yet. I am unable to finalize my application until the 20th when final grades are due for the semester. I still can't send over my last transcript, I tired to contact Dr. Pierce, but I believe she's out of town.

Yess it's frustrating! I might have to try to reach another professor. Dr Pierce is out until the beginning of January. But from my understanding the application will still process after the deadline. So you might be fine. But still check!

I think I'm okay to submit, I just need to notify her about everything that's going on. Do you know how many seats are open for this semester, I was unsure of how many students they were admitting this year?

I talked to Dr. Pierce and it varies every year.

As long as you have that the course is still in progress you are allowed to submit your application. My sociology does not end until January 3rd, but I submitted my application anyway.

For the experiences section, did you guys put work experience, or just healthcare related experiences and volunteering? And also if you took the TEAS or HESI for other programs, did you add that even though it's not required? I don't want to come off as if I didn't read the requirements.
