LSU Care Fall 2019

Published

Hello guys! I wanted to start this thread to see if anyone is applying for the LSU Care Fall 2019 program? Applications are due next month and I am super nervous about submitting, and was wondering if anyone was feeling the same or knew anyone who is currently in the program. :/

I have two C's and she did NOT tell me to retake the courses. However, both of my C's are in math specifically Calc and Stats. I applied with a 3.581. I had 2 B's and 2 C's, but in the rest of the required courses I have A's.

When I talked to her any GPA above a 3.2 was competitive as they do not solely look at your GPA. Someone with a 4.0 can not get in because they have poor communication skills. Good luck to you!

I CANNOT wait to find out!

You can’t have C’s in any biology classes, but she told me to retake chem because i has a C.

Yeah, you cant have C's in any math course. I am so ready to find out if I got in. ONE MORE WEEK!

Sorry it has been a long week

Honestly I wouldn't apply with any C's in any pre-req's guys. This program is extremely competitive with very limited spots. But if she didn't tell you to retake any courses I'm sure you are fine ?

What was everyone's GPA applying? I am freaking out about finding out my fate next week.

I applied with a 3.65 "pre-req GPA".

I have a 3.4 but also have two and half years clinical experience at UMC

I applied with a 3.58, but have no experience at all. Does anyone know how many people they are going to accept? I heard the are trying to accept more students than last year.

A I applied with a 3.69 "GPA", I believe that they meet today to talk about applicants. I'm sure we should hear back by the end of the week. ? Good luck to everyone

At the essay, we were told that there were about 160 applicants and they were accepting around 65. I also heard at the essay they had already dropped down to 100 applicants. She also mentioned that the average CARE GPA last year was around 3.6. Higher than what I was previously told! Today is the day the committee meets and we should know in a few days!!

Sending everyone positive vibes!
