LSU BSN Spring 2015

Published

Hi all!

I've recently changed my major to pre-nursing, and am applying for the Spring 2015 semester this August! I've got tons of questions, and also have gathered a lot of research about the program from past forums and current students. This thread, I'm sure, will be helpful in both easing our nerves and providing insight about the upcoming application process! It seems to be different for every semester. I get attacked by my anxiety every time I question if my GPA will suffice! Has anyone started the application process yet (i.e., personal statement, HESI, etc.?)

Has anyone else received an interview email? And I'm sure you will get an interview!

I just received the interview email!!!!! I'm SOO excited!!

I received an email this afternoon. I confirmed my appointment but they also sent another email stating that they will also be conducting interviews the week of the 22nd.

All these people getting interview emails is making me nervous/anxious.

I agree. It's making me think I'm not going to get one. but I need to stay positive.

I'm sure you're fine! Don't get discourage and tryyyy to be patient.. Which I know is easier said than done...

I'm doing my interview later in September because I have work on the 8th and 9th... Go figure.

I have to agree. I've been obsessively checking my email and this website all day!

Yeah, I know for a fact I am "qualified" in fact I am probably "over" qualified AND I have everything in writing from the adviser I spoke to about my transfer credits. So, worst case I have to make some calls and get the interview I am due. I am just inpatient as all get out so it's torturing me.

On another note, is anyone else that received the generic "we got your application" email annoyed by the grammar errors? There are whole words missing and some really awkward statements - at least in my version anyway.

For those of you who this is there second time around, do yall have any tips for us first timers, with the whole interview process, how we should dress, what to expect? anything would be helpful not only for me but I'm sure for a lot of you who are applying for the first time! I am just trying not to stress to much about this interview. Thanks in advanced!!

I've heard from previous students to really study the mission statement, vision and core values
