  1. If anyone plans on retaking the HESI exam, or is taking it for the first time to apply for future semesters I have two really helpful books that i'd be happy to pass on to you! The first is the Kaplan Nursing School Entrance Exams 5th edition. I used that one the most. Really helpful advice and some good practice tests. I wrote in it a bit with pencil but there are actually no markings on the practice test section so that could really help you out! The other is the official study manual for the TEAS test. (The school in Florida I had originally intended to go to required the TEAS as opposed to the HESI) but I think it may be a helpful refresher to skim through for anyone worried about the HESI! :) I used the first book a bit before taking the exam and I ended up with an 89% on my first try. Let me know if you're interested.
  2. Just out of curiosity, what ultimately led you to choose Charity over LSU? I applied only to LSU because I moved here from Florida in February and was really unfamiliar with all of the schools nearby. I stuck with a name that I was relatively familiar with and after doing some research, I decided it would be a good fit for me. I was accepted and plan to attend but I am now starting to wonder if I should have explored my options a bit more before jumping in... Congratulations on your acceptance to both schools!
  3. We have to return the acceptance confirmation form by this Friday. All the letter said was that more information will be forthcoming once they receive our confirmation. They provided us with orientation dates but that's about it.
  4. I live in Gretna as well and I received mine today! I believe they sent the letters out in two batches so i'm sure you'll get yours tomorrow. :)
  5. FINALLY!!!!
  6. I'm in the same boat. I got an 89% on my HESI exam and my GPA is a 3.9... Still no email for me.
  7. I have to agree. I've been obsessively checking my email and this website all day!
  8. Did anyone else include a check that has not been cashed yet? I got the email, but i'm panicking because they haven't cashed mine yet and i'm worried I forgot to sign it or something silly like that.
  9. It did! Thank you :) How exciting! Did anyone else here get an email yet? And if anyone else used a check as opposed to a money for their application fee, has your check been cashed yet?
  10. What did your email say?!
  11. Yes! I dropped my application off yesterday. Super excited and anxious now.
