I've recently changed my major to pre-nursing, and am applying for the Spring 2015 semester this August! I've got tons of questions, and also have gathered a lot of research about the program from past forums and current students. This thread, I'm sure, will be helpful in both easing our nerves and providing insight about the upcoming application process! It seems to be different for every semester. I get attacked by my anxiety every time I question if my GPA will suffice! Has anyone started the application process yet (i.e., personal statement, HESI, etc.?)
I will have to work enough to pay for daycare (what a catch 22 that is).
If you don't mind me asking, what occupation do you plan to stay in to work around the nursing school hours? I'm in the restaurant industry, but I was wondering if there were better opportunities elsewhere.

I, too, work in the restaurant industry. I also have a part time job with Ochsner as well. I will continue to work night shifts if I get accepted. However, Ochsner has job openings for student nurses after their second semester I believe. So, I plan on applying for some of those jobs once I'm at that position. Good luck

Not quite sure yet. Gonna def try for one of the coveted tech positions after first semester
