LPN about to take NCLEX-RN

Hi, I hope this is the correct forum to post this in. I just have a quick question for those people that were LPNs that went on to pursue their RN. I've been an LPN for 3 years and decided to go back and get my BSN. I just graduated this May and am schedule to take my boards this Tuesday, Yikes! At first, I didn't study very much thinking that if I passed one, I will pass the other. Don't get me wrong, I'm studying my butt off now, ha! But the closer it gets to Tuesday the more scared I get. I've heard so many stories of LPNs failing their RN boards due to them using their own personal experiences and I'm so scared that I will do the same. I have a 98% predictability to pass based on my comp ATI and just been using my Kaplan book I bought at the bookstore and a comp Saunders book. IDK, I think I'm just rambling because I'm so nervous. Anyone else been in the same boat as me? Thanks :)

You're just nervous. Go do a good job and good luck!

I am TOTALLY in the same boat. I have anxiety and it is super bad right now. Driving me nuts. Our official graduation date was Frida (June 4), some of us have gotten our ATT, including me. I have my NCLEX-RN scheduled for Wednesday. The more questions I do the more confidence I have at my capability. I have gotten anywhere from a 54% to a 81% taking practice questions and I received a 99% on the ATI GN predictor.

I did read somewhere to write down your name with RN after it and place it in spots you frequent. I put one on my freezer door. I am so stress that I am hungry and keep opening my fridge and freezer doors for something to eat but don't seem to find anything desirable. Each time I look in there nothing has changed, still nothing good to munch on , exept oreo cookies and milk :D

Good luck and keep us posted.

you both are so funny cause i feel the same way! one more day to go! my stomach is in knots.

I am soooo in the same boat...LPN 3 years, got my ADN last May...Scheduled for NCLEX next Wednesday, June 16th. I was confident at first...thinking I passed NCLEX-LPN, I should be okay with NCLEX-RN. As the day gets closer.... I'm starting to panic. I don't feel like I'm ready. I'm so tempted to reschedule, but on the other hand, I want it to be over with.

I've been reviewing for 4 weeks. I have been using Saunders Comprehensive Review and the Q&A book, I have read and done the questions on Kaplan book. There's so much to learn...not enough time...

I'm just in a panic mode right now...

I am in total panick mode right now. I test on Wednesday and am freaking out. I have emailed one instructor and sat down and talked to another today. Which I have to say, has helped me a little. Because of my test anxiety one of them has said that it was a good thing I am testing earlier than later. I originally had mine scheduled for June 22. I know whether I do it on Wednesday or in a few weeks from now my anxiety wouldn't be any different.

Thank you guys for the encouragement. I feel confident, yet so anxious that my stomach is in knots. Tomorrow is the BIG day. Please cross your fingers and say a prayer for me! Also, I'll be doing the same for you guys! I plan on doing the "trick" and keeping you guys posted! The same goes for y'all.

Thats a great idea. Mine is at 8am and is about 45min-1hour away, so I have an early morning ahead of me, lol. It's not like I'll sleep much anyways. I reviewed for about an hour this morning on immunizations and infection control because for some reason I am awful at those. But other than that, I've been trying to relax and honestly forgot about the test most of the day until my mom mentioned something about it. Then I found myself with an upset stomach and back on the computer for some seriously needed support. Lol. Good luck tomorrow!!

i get confused on immuniations as well :/

Wow, we sound like the same person. i did the sameexact thing and heard the same thing. I got a 97% chance of passing on the first try according to ATI. I have issues with delegation due to me being an agency nurse and usually just doing everything myself. My test it tuesday also. i wish you luck!!!!!

For all you Tuesday test takers let us all know your thoughts about the test when you are done. Fingers crossed.
