Can anyone direct me to LPN schools in the Pittsburgh area. I am planning to move there from Youngstown, Ohio soon and would like to get information on the programs.

Hmmmm, I'm not sure if Conley Tech is still around. Does community college have a program for LPNs?

There is a LPN school about 40 mins north or pittsburgh. Lenape School Of Practical Nursing. It has a very good reputation. It has full time and part time classes. Located in Kittanning. I went there graduated in 1988.

There's quite a few in the Pittsburgh area. CCAC has four campus's that offer nursing. I believe 3 of the 4 offers LPN courses including an evening/weekend program in Monroeville.
I would try http://www.discovernursing.com and do a program search for PA.
Also, another previous poster suggested Lenape in Kittanning. I'm going to be starting their evening/weekend program in March 2007:)

Community college of Beaver county Has a programin which every student enters the program as nursing student and after the first year you can then chose to go one more semester in the summer to become an LPN, or continue on for a few more semsters to become an RN.
COmmunity college of allegheny county has 4 or 5 campuses and All of them have rn program and 2 of them have LPN and RN program
Lawrence County carrer and technical center in New castle, PA( WHich may be closer for the person who is in Y-Town ohio) has an LPN prgram that starts 2 times a year
Also Columbiana COunty carrer center has an LPN program i think its in Lisbon, OHIo
And John D rockerfellar Vo tech in Chester WVA has an LPN program
All of the places i listed would be in the pittsburgh area and not far from either pittsburgh or Ytown

UPMC St. Margaret's School of Nursing has a LPN program. I've been very impressed with their R.N. program, and would imagine their LPN program to have just as high standards. :)
