I don't know that there is such an animal as an RN program without pre-reqs. Usually they are the other, non-nursing classes that are required to round out the rest of the associates degree. So unless there are programs that have them built into the curriculum, I don't know how you can get around them.

I agree with the PP. You'll need to look at private schools, which are less likely to have housing. You can rent an apartment anywhere so housing shouldn't be an issue.

yes , looking for schools programs that have them built into the curriculum.

Most programs that incorporate the pre-requisites into the program are private, for profit schools. Check the accreditations website to make sure that they have what they claim.

I don't know of a single program that is under $20k. Is there a reason that you want to have them worked into the program? Honestly, I know students that did that and it was tough on them. The programs are usually fast paced and there are only about a week in between classes for a break each time. I went to one. I did my pre-requisites at a community college years earlier. I registered right before the 5 year rule for math and science went into effect otherwise I would not have paid close to $20k (I had transfer credits from a community college that wanted me to repeat those courses). It's very hard taking that many courses all at once and then on top of the nursing curriculum. For example, one quarter was peds/ob, mental health, clinicals for peds/ob/mental health, & microbiology with lab. I think many students were surprised that they didn't get themselves admitted to the psych facility during their clinicals because all of that mixed with a micro class from hell would be enough to drive even the mellowest of people crazy.

If your still interested send me a PM and I'll tell you about the program I went to but it's costly. Good luck.

Here's the caveat...all of these schools are investor-owned entities. The vast majority of these schools have very expensive tuition and fees.

ouch! Thanks. I guess I will hope that everything will go as plan and I get into the school of my first choice and have a back up to take A&P, micro classes in summer and fall.

Our community college didn't require pre-reqs but you had a better chance of starting if you had already taken them as you are competing for spots.
