I went there on Friday and they are working on a RN bridge program as well as fafsa :]

yeah I dont know if they have been approved or not yet for the RN or if they are approved and will start in 2010. I wish they had fafsa so I don't have to take out so much loan. Well I guess I will be seeing you in the program then. I am scared for clinicals, I hope I dont suck.

Hello, My name is Tangy. I go to the local clooege here in reno, they say that they dont offer the LPN program which I think is STUPID? Theres not alot alot of nursing programs except RN or Radiology, those are the two that Im not interested in. So I guess If some one knows what are the prerequisites for Being an LPN, or at least a website. Not even the Nev State Board of nursing dosent have that Information.... Please help? Thanks

We don't know. You need to meet with an academic advisor at your school of choice.

Generally, the prereqs for an LVN/LPN program are fewer than the RN degree - Intro A&P and medical terminology was the only requirement before applying for the program at my school.

Its Tangy again, I dont know why my community college doesnt offer other nursing courses. I am a CNA, and I have 19 yrs experience with the elderly in home care, convelesent care, asst living exct.. I then went back to my local college to do phlebotomy that was great however in nevada they wont hire you unless you have experience trust me I know and so did the other students. I feel like I have to drop out of my local college just to attend one on line. Im frustrated and dont know what to do? I would talk to acedemic advisors but there lost too, they were the ones who told me that they did offer it, It hasnt gotten me anyware. Thanks

None for me and going PT for LPN classes will be a total of 18 months. That would be Mon - Thur 5pm - 10pm.

Hello,Deb or Anyone else who can help?

OK so what does that mean by PT/LPN, I know what they stand for but does that mean that you are taking PT classes to become LPN? I wasnt sure about your message, or what it stood for. Are you located anyware around me, I truely think that my local college is STUPID for not offering more Nursing classes, all they offer is RN/Radiology. Why should I limit my self to just those too things.

I quess I have to take some on-line courses and classes up at the college but I dont have any Idea on WHAT? The Acedemic Advisors dont know either, they have sent me to many wrong areas. Why are they their if they cant help people.

what was the name of the school u attended w no prereq

PT means part time. A lot of school in FL that offer LPN classes do not have pre-req's. There is Galen, Erwin, Brewster, etc... It's only when you go bridge to RN school is when the pre-req's come into play.

Depends on school and state. Here in Colorado if you go to the state board of nursing website it list the LPN/RN pre-reqs usually all the Community Colleges will be the same in your state and trade schools will vary

hey does any1 know lpn schools near woodbridge nj

The pre-requisites vary by school. You need to pass a math test. A lot of schools require anatomy and physiology first. What State are you in?
