Low rider pants on nurses

That bikini on that link looked like something painful to swim in. Think I'll wear it to work. Then there won't be any pants to have an issue about :cool:

IMHO.......Dress professionally. We as nurses have the unfortunate reputation of being naughty nancy's....why make it worse with unprofessional dress.

UntamedSpirit, I think that misconception was created and is perpetuated by dirty ol' men who have nothing better to do than have fantisies about the nurse who just washed thier bum, and not by what she was wearing.

There have almost always been nurses who wear more make up than others, or who have worn short skirts, low cut blouses, etc. Always in contention as a fruitless, neverending arguement for nurses to ponder and discuss, I suppose.

That is exactly what I thought at first, until I saw the picture!!! That is sooooooo funny! :)

I'd rather have a nurse that knows what the heck she's doing in a leotard and psychedelic hip hugger scrubs than a conservatively/traditionally dressed idiot.

Why split hairs over personal taste?....I could careless what he/she has on - Just know your stuff upstairs!

There is a peds nurse I know who wore backless nursing clogs(which I think are cute) but she had no socks on. Eww. I like some of the fun new styles that are coming out like the flared and all, as long as the overall look is appropriate, neat and pulled together(I haven't seen lowriders). What I can't stand are sloppy looking nurses who have stains all over their wrinkled uniform or whose white shoes are no longer white. When I was in nursing school, we wore caps(wasn't that long ago either) and our uniforms had to be neat and pressed. And god help the student who wore leapord thong underwear. Also, if one hair touched the collar we got an earful. A little bit of professionalism goes a long way. We have a unit assistant who comes to work in sweatpants and a wrinkly white t-shirt. And they allow it.

Not that I think a sloppy looking nurse can't be a great nurse, which is what matters most however lack of professionalism and attention to personal hygiene and such is quite a turn-off to patients and families. I have heard several comments!

Bedpan...I was thinking of ordered those faux fur lowrise crotchless scrubs with the ass cut out for my next shift.

Wouldn't be the complete outfit without the matching shirt with the chest cut out.

I don't think there is anything wrong with wearign flare leg, I love those kind of pants. I don't care for low rider but I also don't like to have my pants up to my chin. Just under the belly button is good, no skin showing, besides, my shirts are always over my pants never tucked in.
