Low Kaplan Qbank Scores

Nursing Students NCLEX

Updated:   Published

I posted this earlier and did not get a reply, hopefully someone could give me some insight this time :( I bought the kaplan qbank and have been doing questions daily but I keep getting high 50s to mid 60s. I am using the hurst review to I'll have a little bit of both to grasp from. Every time I tell this to someone they say I'm okay, WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?!?!? I'm far from okay, I"m freaking out! My test is Jan 20th and I am so scared.

I hope this helps. It's from kaplan

Thank you so much everyone for your advice and reassurance! I'm studying Hurst's content and doing Kaplan qbank and I'm hoping what I am doing will pay off.

I am scoring VERY low like in the 40s with health promotion and maintenance, does anyone know how I can better my score with that portion?

You need to be focusing on health promotion and maintenance then; are you doing the same questions over and over?

You may need to look into reviewing those questions only...just a though, but Saunders have flash cards that break down questions according to the four concepts of NCLEX; They include the answers and the rationales. it might be worth looking into.

Also, the Kaplan Comprehensive book really broke down strategies in each concept as well if you are looking to stay with Kaplan as well.

Look at the rationales; if you are not understanding the rationales, look to a source content, if Hurst has that information, then look the content up and study it.

Best wishes.

I'm going through the Hurst content review and taking a Kaplan quiz from the qbank daily with brand new questions each time. I'm consistently hitting 40s with Health promotions and maintenance. Everywhere else I am sitting around the 60s.

I have the Saudner's 6th edition book right here, it was given to me for christmas, but I haven't opened it. I'm scared of using too many resources, but I have a look in that section.

Thank you all for your insight!! I really hope all this pays off

Saunders 6th edition is my bible on nclex 😊 i used it and passed

Do Saunders!!

So I took advice and went onto the Saunder's question bank review and did some questions. My average here is around 64-78 versus Kaplan which was in the high 50s. I feel a lot better now!

I passed nclex last year Nov 20..

My scores were worse than the ones posted, talking about 45% .

It doesn't matter the scores what matters is how prepared you r.

Does anyone have any advice for what resources to use to prepare for the exam? I am feeling very overwhelmed right now that I do not even know where to beggin.... I bought so many books and things that now I feel overwhelmed...heres what I have:

1) took the hurst live review

2) saunders book for review

3) saunders q and a

4)PDA by la charity

5) Lippincott q and a

6)Kaplan content review book

and now everyone is telling me that I should buy the kaplan q bank because this is pretty accurate when it comes to the type/format of the nclex questions? the qbank is $50 for a month but I've seen a bunch free qbanks online and I am wondering if these are the sames?

:notworthy::(

Well I learned I completely overwhelmed myself with all those resources so I just used hurts an I did half of PDA by lacharity and passed boards with 75. stick to as few resources as you can !
