i am so sorry this happened to you. what did the family say? will you see this patient again? it will be okay i promise. i can imagine how horrible you feel. i wish i knew what to say. i just want to let you know it was a accident and sometimes things get crazy and get lost. you don't mean it to happen .. it just does.. so please don't be to hard on yourself.
There were a lot of people in the room ...EEG,Echo,Techs,housekeeping ,Drs. .I'm hoping it's lost inside the bed somewhere,we could only roll him side to side due to the femoral arterial sheath in place & pt not responding well to stimuli .I'll be praying for the family's sake that we find it...I can't imagine having such a personal item lost .
HelloI'm an LPN w/one semester to go for my RN .I'm currently precepting in CCU .I had a very complicated pt. today
I know you are upset but why did you remove his ring to do an assessment? I never removed a wedding band unless it was loose. An engagement ring yes but never a wedding band. Hope you find it.
