so how should I state on my resume, that references are available, even though, they /the file was stole out of my car, and alot of people I used to work with, has moved to other jobs??????

If you don't have another copy of the file, you will have to do a lot of searching to gather the information again. Good Luck!

Perhaps you can reconstruct from memory. I can recall every job I had and most people can be searched via the internet. I don't think references in a file folder are as important to recruiters as actual timely references.
How was your file stolen? Was the car stolen or did you leave it unlocked? This time keep a spare or two on a disk that you can update at intervals.
I had started to do just that, but because of the constant job turnover, little to anyone is left to contact. I last worked, less than 5 yrs ago.
The one doctoer I call an asked for a reference, claimed not to remember me:cry:
