I didn't see a Spring 2017 thread for LA Pierce College. Have any of you applied?

I got my acceptance letter for the ADN program on the 3rd and they're giving us until the 10th to accept/deny, so maybe after the 10th they will start going down the waiting list...

I called Carla and she said she will be sending out the next 30 letters today. She said the letters she is sending are not acceptance letters they are to let you know where you landed on the lottery. I am still waiting. I have a 4.0 on my bio classes, busted my butt, and a 3.6 as overall GPA . This lottery system is unfair but nothing anyone can do. She said , someone with B's and C's and lower GPA could get picked over me, but that's how life works. I GESS ITS UP TO,LUCK.

Did you apply to any point system schools? I think you would have a very good chance of getting in. You can also apply for UC schools.

The lottery system is great for people who may have a little lower gpas and may not be the best book smart but very good hands on. In nursing you need to be good at both.

I applied for LA COUNTY BUT I AM MISSING POINTS FOR HUMMANITIES AND SOCIOLOGY, AND THAT PUTS BE AT A DISADVANTAGED 74 points with out them. They usually pick people with 78 points and above, although my friend got in with 74 points she was on wait list and Then they called her that her name got picked, so she tells me I can still have a chance, if she got in . Her TEAS score was 69% , A IN PHYSIO, A in anatomy and B in micro, and over all GPA was 3.5 . So I am trying to not loose hope :(.

Karla confused me because she said the first 30 numbers weren't acceptance letters, it was just to know where you landed on the lottery and by December decisions will be made . Have you called to ask ? She said today she was going to send the next 30 names lottery status

She sounded mad when I called. I asked " Di you guys send out any acceptance letters" she replied yes and more today. I guess we just see and wait. I jut wish she was more clear.

What does where you land in the lottery mean?! How confusing

Has anyone received a number yet? My understanding is the first 30 selected were given a spot. #31 is #1 on the wait list, 32 is #2 and so on.
