Any one here graduates of the program? Or are in the program?
Congrats Willowita. I hope I get at least 65%, they only use 150 out of the 170 questions, the others are practice questions. The only thing is you dont know how they choose those that are practice questions. I have all A's and I did not bother to send in my Humanities grade, so I only have a 67 out of a possible 70 for the pre-reqs. Now I am sorry I did not send it in. Anyway I am keeping my fingers cross, if not next year.
I will post my results next saturday.
Hi Studionurse, I applied to the Generic RN program. I have zero healthcare experience. Nursing will be my second career.
Are you applying to other programs or just this one? I hear it's tough right now for LVNs to find LVN to RN programs because of all the budget cuts. I hope you get into LA County!
Yes I did apply at Harbor College. They told me if I passed the TEAS test, I can start the program this coming Fall 2012. The thing is, I should pass all sections (62%). Meaning if I get a 61% on reading comprehension, I'm ineligible to start the program. So I am still worried since I didn't finish that part .
If you did well in the other sections, I think you'll be fine. Even if you didn't finish the reading section. Did you apply for the Fall 2012 semester at Harbor? I haven't heard anything from them yet. Now I'm worried!
i think you might receive the invitation letter from Harbor College by April or May to take the TEAS test. their TEAS test I guess will be on May 2012 according to my classmates. Think positive (like me,LOL:)).

I'm sorry to hear that, Studionurse. There really didn't seem like enough time for those sections. Especially since you have to do everything by hand in the math. And I had to keep going back to re-read passages to make sure I understood them. So I was rushing in those sections too.
On the bright side, I think you can get a 75% if you miss 37 questions. So hopefully the other sections can help you.
I scored 89.4% and I only used the ATI book plus whatever was in my brain. I feel very lucky since I basically had a week to cram.
