Any one here graduates of the program? Or are in the program?

Anyone here applying for the generic program? :hrnsmlys:

You were so close to the 75%! But you passed, which is awesome :yeah:

You're one step closer in this whole process.

If the LVN cut off last year was 78, then I think you stand a fighting chance. I hope you do get in!

I applied to the generic program! I'm just waiting now to hear whether I got in or not.

How are things coming along for you?

I'm sorry to hear that Mejia310. Do you have to do remediation now?

This is probably a big set back for you but hang in there. Work on the areas you are weak in and make them your strength. Then take the test again and keep following your dream. Good luck to you!

@willowita Hi! things are pretty good. If the application process is the same as last year, we would hear from la county mid June. La county is notoriously known for not giving applicants their acceptance letters before May 15th.

Hello everyone!

My very first time on this forum. I'm thinking to apply this July for Spring 2012 for the ADN program. From everything I'm reading, it sounds really tough... All my prereqs are done. 3.8 in my sciences & generals. What's the competition like for Spring 2013 any ideas??? :/

Very tough if it's anything like these past semesters. Budget cuts means nursing programs are getting smaller all around. I forget the exact numbers but LACCN says they get somewhere around 300 applicants and there are about 40-50 seats.

LACCN admits students on a point system. They have the distribution on their website so you can figure out how many points you have. That should give you a better idea.

Are you applying to the LVN bridge or the Generic ADN?

I applied for the LVN to RN bridge as well. I have been hearing all sorts of different things for the point cut off: 76, 78, 70..... I think the anxiety of waiting for my acceptance or denial letter might kill me! This is going to be brutal.

I am a real planner, and it is killing me to not know. I guess I will have 2 plans:

Plan A: get accepted and start this summer

Plan B: wait another year to reapply, try to get a better job and a night job to save up in the meantime.

You are correct Willowita, so close but yet so far. Lovetosleep, we are in the same boat and the waiting is killing me too. Your plan B is exactly what I have too. Good luck to all of us.

Ahhhhhh, why does the wait need to be so tedioussss!

Good luck to everyone! Lets enter a time warp and fast forward a month ;)

Has anyone else called and asked what the point cutoff is for the LVN to RN program? I have heard so many different things and am so anxious to find out. I guess it does not matter in the long run, I'm either going to get in or not get in. I really need to calm down, my anxiety is getting worse every day.

How is everyone doing?
