wow, that totally sucks... because I have a good shot at getting into LA county and LAHC.... and I wont know if i got into those schools until about a week or two later. what should i do? if i get accepted, should i sign the intent form and back out later if i get accepted to LAHC or LA County? what are the penalties if i do back out ?

Reason I say this is because Glendale is a 40min-60min drive from my house (LA traffic ew...) , hence why its not my first choice.

i called the office. They are still sending out letters week by week, and those who receive letters get approximately 1 week to make any decision. The total number of students admitted is NOT 20, about 50 will be total (same as last semester). They told me that by the end of the 1st week of June, everyone should have received a letter.

So there's still a chance.

I see so the 20 is the initial i guess.

@tigertjc, you could give them your intent letter then if you back out in the end its fine. They said it happens a lot of times.

Has anyone heard from County/USC yet? This is killing me. I am kind of assuming I didn't get in, since the summer program starts in less than 3 weeks. I just want to know for sure either way so I can move forward with planning my life! If anyone has any news at all please let me know! Good Luck All!!

iliana, have you made any calls to county lately? btw, I think you already know what I'm going for. The wait for all 3 schools to reply back with denial/acceptance letters is driving me insane!

hey tiger ya i remember your situation (and your wife) lol but no i havent made any calls to county lately! its really really funny cuz i call and im like "ooohh sooo i was wondering.....DO YOU GUYS KNOW THE POINT CUT OFF FOR FALL IS??????????" and there like noo sorry bye lol and my sister called too but she pretended to want to know info on the school and was like oh so where are you located.. i see u have a point system.. do u use it every semester.. (a bunch of questions we already know) and then shes like soo what was the cut off for this application period so i kinda know what ball park to aim in lol and they ALWAYS say they still dont know! trust me if i could call anymore than i already have they would think im psycho! lol so im trying to be as patient as possible! Even getting emails from allnurses.com saying someone has responded to my comments i always have a mini anxiety attack! i freak out cuz im just waiting for some to be write on here "okay i found out the cut off is..." lol im soo worried that if i dont get in AGAIN that i might get really discouraged! i just cant believe its been this long since we've applied and NO ONE has gotten a response! hopefully we ALL get in! we gotta keep our hopes up!

and as usual... IF ANYONE HEARS ANYTHING FROM COUNTY..please please please let us knooooow!!!!!! =]

haha, I feel the same way iliana... I wanted to call in numerous times, but I was afraid of them getting annoyed and ask who this was. (hence why I always call them on a blocked number). I too go crazy once i receive an email from allnurses. I even set my iphone to check for e-mails every 15 minutes.

btw, don't get discouraged! keep fighting and try till you get in. DON'T EVER GIVE UP! hopefully I'll see you in the fall semester.
