Hello my fellow applicants!

I'm a second time applicant to LACCONAH, I've been down this road once and came back with a lot of knowledge. From my experience this is going to be a waiting game so enjoy the ride! Y'all got questions, comments, concerns, information, don't be shy to engage. Estamos juntos en esto!

1. 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM

2. 1:30 AM - 2:30 PM

I didn’t get those time slots. Mine were:

1. Morning Session: 1000 – 1100

2. Afternoon Session: 1430-1530

I was offered an interview! Just wondering how everyone will prep for the interview currently watching Youtube videos LOL

I’m not sure yet LOL 

I’ll probably research some questions of what is normally asked for an interview like this and practice my responses. Orally & written. I know there is a short essay part to the interview from what I’ve read on past forums. And other than that, just pray ?? that everything goes well ?

Hello guys! I ended up getting an interview. I had to send them a syllabus of a PE class I took to confirm that I did take one. Just wanted to give a little update.

does anyone have a sense if these will be group or 1-on-1 interviews? I noticed a lot of nursing schools seems to do group interviews. not sure what past thread on CONAH have said.

Hi Ofelia!

its a semi group interview. From my experience you will be doing multiple exercises. One as a whole group and a few as a pair. They will send you off with 2 or 3 people for oral interview and an exercise. This round will be slightly different as they change what they do each rotation.

I will be speaking about my experience hopefully tomorrow when I have more time!

This makes me so nervous because I don’t do too well with interviews.. Do they ask you professional interview questions? Because I did the group exercise with CSULB and they asked basic questions but I still feel like I did so bad which got me waitlisted. I’m losing hope. This process has been so stressful for me.

Thank you for the information about the interview! Really helps out! It seems like past cohorts because of covid did not have to do the interview since everything was online

Hi there!

I suck at interviews too. The only questions that were asked were “why you want to be a nurse?” And “why you want to go to this school?”. But your not asked both questions. I’ll get into this more tomorrow.

@Chuparosa22 Hi! Did you get another invite for an interview? Or do you know if they count your interview from last time toward your points? Just curious because I applied last application period and didn't hear back this time around.

Hi there!

unfortunately no I was not invited to interview this time around. I had 82 points and from what I gathered the cut off was 84/86 points. 
I believe every application period they just focus on points for that period so no I don’t think they count interview points from last time. I do think that since you were interviewed last they do take that into consideration but that’s it.

hope for better luck next time around! If I don’t get into Glendale I’m going in for round 3!
