I wanted to start a thread for those applying to the Spring 2020 Basic (Generic) program. The school website posted dates for an information session for prospective students. I'll be attending May 31, 2019, and wanted to see if anyone else is going to the same day or any of the other ones?

Application window opens June 15th for Spring 2020. I hope this thread will help answer admission/application questions and get connected with other applicants or those who are currently in the program.

Hey guys I will be applying for Fall 2020 I had a quick question I tried to make an account with the school and it’s asking me program of interest but it only gives Lvn 1 and Lvn 2 options. Idk if it’s too early for me to start making an account since applications don’t start until January 15th maybe that’s why ADN program is not listed yet ?

Yeah, the account is created with your application so you can’t do it until the application period opens.

Okay thank you so much ! Do you know what the cut off was for spring 2020 I only have 80 points before the interview idk if it’s worth applying

Anyone know what the cutoff for this cohort was? I'm planning on applying in January for the upcoming Fall 2020 class and trying to gauge where I stand. Without the interview or any bonus points I calculate 79 points.

I was wondering what type of stethoscope you guys are purchasing. I'm currently unsure about which one to purchase so I wanted to see others opinions.

I recently just purchased a 3M Littmann Cardiology IV from the link the school gave us. It was the best price I could find since I've been on the market for one. I would suggest base your choice on the type of field you will/want to work in. I went all in and hope this will be my forever stethoscope for what I need.

director trongone recommended lippincott so i purchased the 2019 lippincott pocket drug guide for nurses on amazon for $16

Did anyone else get their first clinical placement? I was hoping I would be placed in one of the bigger medical centers especially since LAC+USC is 15min from me. Does anyone know how the clinical rotation work? Do we get rotated to all the county hospitals?
