I wanted to start a thread for those applying to the Spring 2020 Basic (Generic) program. The school website posted dates for an information session for prospective students. I'll be attending May 31, 2019, and wanted to see if anyone else is going to the same day or any of the other ones?
Application window opens June 15th for Spring 2020. I hope this thread will help answer admission/application questions and get connected with other applicants or those who are currently in the program.

I went to the info session on the 31st too! I will be taking my teas beginning of next month and applying for Spring 2020. The journey begins!
Hey @Terri Yim,
I'm glad to hear that! I was there as well, it was a very informative session. I feel more confident about this next application period. I'll be taking my TEAS July 8th and applying for Spring 2020 cohort. We are taking the first of many steps on this amazing journey to becoming an RN!
How are you feeling about the TEAS? I really hope to score an overall 75% or higher to get the 20 points.
@mchlstvn
Are you taking the Teas in Pasadena? I am taking it on the 8th too!
I'm going to start hitting the books this week. I ordered the book and practice questions. Have you started? How do you feel about it? I heard it's not too bad. Let me know if you have any good resources or study tips you can share!
Wow, that would be a awesome if we both get in! *fingers crossed
@Terri Yim
Yes! 9:00 A.M. at Pasadena.
I started reviewing last week. I got the ATI manual and Practice exams. I think I'll do well enough to pass but I know I need to study more to score really high. Not taking any chances.
Right! Don't forget applications open this Saturday! I already started sending my transcripts to LAC+CONAH today, so I am hoping by next week all that will be taking care of.
Yes, Thanks for the reminder!
Happy studying and good luck to us!
Submitted my application this morning! This is my first application to Nursing School, and hopefully the only application I need to submit for my ADN.
Hey, @Terri Yim did you have any issues with adding employment? The link or add tab didn't open any options. Other than that the application is very straight forward and ask basic information.
@mchlstvn Same here! Didn't find any issues other than the employment tab. The journey officially begins!

Hello I will also be applying but I’m worried I don’t have enough points. I am currently at 79 points but if I can get another humanities course accepted then I will stand at 81 points. I’m worried though.

I just submitted my application too! I wanted to apply for the Fall semester but I had to take Physiology in the winter session and the course ended the day before the application due date. There was no way my transcript would have arrived on time. I was pretty bummed.
I'm hoping to move off of the alternate list at College of the Canyons for the fall, but if I don't, it can't hurt to have another really great option, right?
How many points do you all have (before the interview, of course)? Im at 88, I think.

Wow that's really good! Unfortunately I am at 79 points. I'm not sure what the cut off was for last time but I think it was 80. Maybe I still have a chance but I don't know.

I think it really varies every semester. It can't hurt to apply! You may interview really well, too, which will put you at 84.
