I am starting this new thread for everybody that is planning to apply to County's nursing program for Fall 2014. I am still waiting for their posting the information session date on their website; hopefully, it will not take long since the application period has already started. How many of you are planning to apply for Fall 2014. I am just finishing my last prerequisite and hope to apply by the end of December or beginning of January. Good luck to us all!
Nothing in the mail today guys....I will wait until Saturday mail comes. If nothing in the mail by Saturday, I will call them Monday and make sure they have everything (even though they said they did). That way, if they need anything else, I will meet the 2/15 deadline.
Why would you schedule the teas at the ati center when you'll get an invite from county for sure. They have many application, they can't process all of them at the same time, little patience and the letter will be in the mail. And I believe that three weeks is plenty of time to review those English, math and science sections. You take one week for each :-). Do some practice tests and we should be good. There's no point in stressing, whatever happens, happens. :-)
Smylee, have you yet scheduled your teas for March 1st? I just called them to schedule and they said that March 1st is no longer available, and they only had a few seats available for February 28th, so I scheduled it for February 28th. It's only one day earlier, it's not going to make a difference :-). Girls, hurry to schedule the test as they are running out of available seats.
Hi Enzyme, I called to schedule my teas on Tuesday, because I had a feeling that the dates would get booked up. I'm am scheduled for March 1st

I applied to COC also and they just notified me about 2 hours ago via email that my transcript eval was complete and i have been cleared to proceed with online application. . Now im not so nervous about County. COC had all my transcripts as of 1/22 and i was just notified today. County has had my transcripts for 6 days less than COC so i guess i am still okay for now. Checked mail, no county. Commeeeeee onnnnnn Saturday mail man! Hahahaaha.

Oh, don't worry about County, my classmate also applied in January and still hasn't received an invitation for the teas, and she is also eligible, she has good grades. Yes, I am applying to two other colleges as a backup plan :-). I am applying to LACC as I took all my prerequisites there, and also to Pasadena College. County is on top of the list for me, then LACC, and Pasadena is the last because it is far from where I live. Application dates for LACC and PCC are much later than County's; I'll be applying next week to Pasadena and in March to LACC, no hurry :-). I just want the teas out of my way.:-)

Also, if I were you, I'd call them on Monday and be straight with them. Ask them if you were getting your invitation or not. I am sure they know :-).

Good to know about your classmate that applied in Jan and still hasn't received theirs. Makes me feel a LITTLE bit at ease. And yes, my plan is to call them Monday if Mr. Mailman doesn't deliver the goods tomorrow! Glad to see you applied to other schools as well as back up plan. You never want to put your eggs in one basket. This whole process is just so fun, nerve wracking, exciting, etc.

Oh yeah, I would not dare to put all my eggs in one basket :-). It is too risky. Even though I am really hoping and believing that I will get into County's program as I have 4.0 GPA and my points would be around 87 (if I do score those extra 20 points on the teas), you still never know for sure. It is good to have a backup plan , just in case.

We have the same points! Wooo hooo! And im the same way as far as applying. Im bummed about the lottery schools though. I never win anything. Lol.

Hahaha! Same here. If I don't put my blood and sweat into something, I am not getting anything :-). That lottery system frustrates me so much. What is the point of busting my a.. studying hard if grades don't even count. But, there's nothing we can do about it. That is why I like County so much. Very organized and straight forward. I like that. :-) And they say that County has the best clinicals, woo-hoo. I am praying to get in. I hope we all do. Once we are done with the teas, it's going to be more exciting. The teas is like a dark cloud over our heads
. I just can't wait for it to be done :-)
