Looking for Nursing schools in California that accept International students

Hello, I'm a graduate of BSN in the Philippines batch 2012 and applied for NCLEX-RN here in California. After completing all the requirements the Ca-BRN wrote me a letter telling me that I have some deficiencies (MS, OB, Pedia and Psych) which have something to do with the concurrency issue and go back to school to complete the said deficiencies.

I asked some schools near my place. One school didn't credit all the subjects that I took which I have to go back to zero and other schools I'm still waiting for them to call back to meet with the counselor about my situation.

While waiting I want to ask if anyone knows some nursing schools that is accredited by the CA-BRN that accepts foreign students to enroll just the deficiencies. Thank you in advance to anyone who will reply to this message :)

Look for school for BS to MSRN not BSRN to MSRN, those BS to MSRN will accept your classes from BSN foreign graduate, since you consider BS graduate.

Specializes in Vents, Telemetry, Home Care, Home infusion.

For those with a Bachelor's in nursing without concurrent clinical, I would look at accelerated Masters program:

Master's Nursing Programs

For those that having issues with deficiencies, i do believe the best option is taking MS RN , I notice a very long waiting list for one of two spots and you are wasting your time keep on trying to look for school. Maybe I am one of the few got my deficiencies class completed ( OB, CC, Psy and Peds) Dec 2013. Unfortunately i was the first and the last on the deficiencies program at my shcool. I was informed by the school that they worry about people failing in the NCLEX exam that lower their school rating that is why they stop enrolling the deficiency progam. BTW the cost of those deficiencies is not cheap around ($15000) for those that looking in the private school like CBU. etc.

Have you been given the ATT (NCLEX-RN) in CA as of now (after the Dec. 2013 completion)?

Was the MSRN program you took but no longer offering the deficiency classes on the list of schools that was posted from above by NRSKarenRN?

I receive my entity code last month and i be able to take nclex, but i decided to wait my nursing school to submit the breakdown of the classes to get the full approval from BON , since the first time the school sent them the transcript only class name (ex nursing 516 instead of nursing 516 consist of Psy and Peds)

BON mail me a note that i be able to take NCLEX but they cannot release the result until those paperwork completed.

I did look at the schools that NRSKarenRN suggested on the program that you recommended and they have the same requirements as applying to community colleges here in California. But I think I would stick to community colleges because going to schools like that cost a lot of money and besides I already start applying to some community college. Thank you for your help though I really appreciate it :)

If you going to community college you will receive RN and they are about 10$ cheaper an hour compare to BSRN and MSRN pay about 10 to 15$ more than BSRN. Anyway just a thought

Has anyone had any luck to get into a school? Any private colleges? I am currently in the Bay Area looking for somewhere I can makeup an Obstetrics class.

No luck at all :-( how bout you? Im in Bay area too.
