Looking for Nursing Experience Paid or Volunteer in Manila

World Philippines

Published

Hi Guys!

I am currently out of the country and based in singapore and the nursing agency that I signed up with requires that I get some nursing experience paid or volunteer before the consul interview or else they will drop the petition. I just received recently my uscis approval and I know its still a long way to go.

I need your suggestion regarding hospitals in Manila or Singapore wherein I can apply and get some nursing experience with certification at least 3-6 months preferably OR, CCU or ER.

Hope to hear from you guys!

hey cephalgia.. why don't you try AFP Medical Center ( V. Luna ) instead? I heard that they will going to conduct they're last qualifying exam tomorrow. It is a 6 months volunteer service which will commence on first week of August. The result of the exam will be posted on July 1. So better hurry up and call the Nursing Service Office who conducts the exam. Good luck and God Bless!

Hi there cathybedrio. If I may ask please, have you taken their qualifying exam (V. Luna) or are you currently in their residency program?

Thanks in advance .

Be blest.

hi!

May I know please if the Ospital ng Maynila is still accepting applicants for basic skills training? Anyone who were accepted already??

Your reply will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a bunch.

REQTS are PRC, board rating, TOR, Resume, 1x1pic.:)

hi yousushey!

May I ask if you had made the whole payment of 7500 upon submission of the requirements? Do they accept installment?

Thank you.

@ shubichilipepper

Actually I was scheduled to take up the Qualifying Exam last June 8 but I wasn't able to come because I'm already affiliated to Philippine Air Base Hospital. My friend had just took up the said exam and the result will be posted on the 3rd week of July. According to her the exam was very easy but you have to undergo another set of exam, Skills Validation and a panel interview with the chief nurse, nurse supervisor and etc. Try military nursing instead. The details are posted on the another thread. Good luck! :D:D:D

@cathybedrio

thank you for your reply.

god bless. :)

Hi yousushey, Thanks for giving us this information. I'm very much interested in the MS training program of UST, do you think they still have available slots to accommodate 2 to 3 people? I just happened to read your post last night and I called them this morning but I was not able to get information since the nursing training office has no office today (they told me it was holiday). When will their training start? Will they provide us with certificates after that? Do you have any idea? I hope they still have slots left for me and my friend... I've been searching for weeks for different training or volunteer programs since majority of the hospitals were not hiring. I hope they can still accommodate us, I hope it's not too late my oh my.

I'm hoping for your kind reply. Thanks a lot.

shubichilipepper apology for the super late reply.as of today, a friend of mine tried and still she got a slot, lthe 88th slot.its been like 5days since you posted this so on my guess you got a slot already eh?

is there a chance of getting hired after the training? thank you

yes.its actually their new way of hiring.training first and if you did good in the evaluation then good chance :specs: of being interviewed and the usual hiring process is gonna happen except you can now slash training out of the picture.that was what they told us,they weren't very specific on hiring dates though..

late reply :(

shubichilipepper yes along with the reqts is the 7.5k payment.am not really sure but you can probably pay in installment.negotiate that before the trraining starts you'll pay the balance..its my suggestion lol.so better yet call them..sorry i read your post just now.. i hope you guys got a slot.i know how hard it is to find a training.

cathybedrio: do u have the contact number of the nursing service office of v. luna hospital. pm me pls. i took d exam last june 22 btw...tnx
Specializes in NICU.

results for the exam in V.LUNA will be posted during the 1st or 2nd week of July according to one of the staff there. But as of this afternoon, nothing was posted yet. After all it's only the 1st day of July.

thank you ilovetiggerdear. please keep us updated if the result is already out. hehehe.

Apparently, the results will be out on Monday (July 6). This is according to a friend who dropped by V. Luna the other day to ask. I hope we both get it, but I'm not expecting too much because my friend has staff backing her up (she's the daughter of a retired General, and her family knows a lot of people working in the hospital) while I don't. Ugh. Poor civillians. Haha.
