  4. Hello everyone, im wondering if anyone of you here have applied for the UofT Np Program:Adult focus. My application is now currently under review. How long does it take for them to make a decision? Thank you
  5. Hello AirforceRN. Yes I did but I also wanted to hear from those who actually went through the whole process. Thank you :)
  6. thankyou lorieangel Im quite enlightened now. Thankyou for giving me straightforward answers. You've been much of help.
  7. I'll be startin nursing in a university this coming winter term. I have decided to apply for OSAP but there are few questions that I want to be enlightened with. First, I will have to pay for my tuition fee this first term. What will happen if I'll be approved? Second, is the application just a one time deal? The fulltime program I'll be attending is a 2Year program. Is there a need for me to apply for each term or the forms I filled out now will cover until I finish my studies? Third, I will be employed eventually. How will I update the ministry? Will that affect the loan? Fourth, If in the middle of my studies I decide to stop OSAP because I might be able to cover my studies because I will be working, how should I go about it? Thank you very much. I know that's a lot of questions. I hope you can enlighten me.
  8. its a whole day exam 260+ items depends. You'll be given a lunch break. The Canadian PN exam prep guide is very much helpful and also you might wanna take the predictor test http://www.asitest.ca/, this was recommended by students who graduated here. I hope that'll help.. God Bless
  9. Hello everyone... So the results are out! Congrats to all who passed! God is good :))) Anyway, been checking where to get the criminal record synopsis> is that the one requiring fingerprint that's worth 25sh? Thank you! :))))and congrats again :) All smileysss!
  10. hello shubii!well yeah its been all busy days this past weeks!so far exposure is good but ill tell you it will depend on which ward you'll be assigned but yeah it's still a very good experience. my first month am assigned at MS ward, so its all carrying out docs order and some basic procvedures.....its a gradual learning process because i was first assigned at private division then now at charity division where a higher census is expected..decision making and time management is a must superb thing to learn. my second month which is by next week I'll be assigned at critical care unit. I heard from others who had been there already, i quote "super lot of things to learn"...ill continue this after the exposure. :) i am not sure but september you might want to follow up already because our training will end by then so theyl probably open slots again. ill post it soonessstt once i hear from the nursing service.. Godbless you too.. Thankyou
  11. true trulyblessed!that's so nice to hear!it was my pleasure to share it with you so don't mention it!i:wink2: i was even wondering on who of all those participants was I able to talk to here at this site.but yeah it'll be grand to see you.Your bum days are over and so as mine!YAY for us!
  12. hello shubichilipepper.aww too bad maybe you can try for the next batch, i heard that they'll be opening slots again after our practicum ends. actually as of the moment, we aren't on clinical practicum yet.we were told that come august it will start.well didactic part just ended today, so far its good and the resource speaker is really well versed, he is a chief nurse in Kansas. He discussed much about critical care nursing. PLUS he even asked for NCLEX passers whom he will hire in the institution he is currently working in. To answer your question regarding the procedures, can't tell you yet but based on the orientation for clinical practicum they gave us today, so long that you will ask your preceptor for assistance in procedures you haven't done yet, all procedures nurse is allowed to do then we can do.. Sure thing I'll keep you posted! Godbless! I am really excited this will be my first experience ever after graduation. Nervous at the same time though :heartbeat
  13. shubichilipepper yes along with the reqts is the 7.5k payment.am not really sure but you can probably pay in installment.negotiate that before the trraining starts you'll pay the balance..its my suggestion lol.so better yet call them..sorry i read your post just now.. i hope you guys got a slot.i know how hard it is to find a training.
  14. yes.its actually their new way of hiring.training first and if you did good in the evaluation then good chance of being interviewed and the usual hiring process is gonna happen except you can now slash training out of the picture.that was what they told us,they weren't very specific on hiring dates though.. late reply
  15. shubichilipepper apology for the super late reply.as of today, a friend of mine tried and still she got a slot, lthe 88th slot.its been like 5days since you posted this so on my guess you got a slot already eh?
