Many acute care facilities do not utilize LPN's from agency. Agencies prefer hard core experience in your licensed position. Being a CNA and a volunteer does not count.
California has a 47% unemployment/underemployment rate of all new grads and nurses.....including BSN.
I wish you the best.

Have you thought of applying to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation? If there are not any LVN jobs available at this time in the locations that you work, there will be, just watch for them. If you would be interested in working at a prison as a registry nurse, look at some of the more local agencies and see what they have in corrections.

I took an assessment and passed. But it says there's a lot of eligibility list people.. I wanna try to apply in agencies but they are looking for 1 year experience though.

SO TRUE! Good luck-I'm moving back to Missouri to get my one year, whatever it takes to get that experience. DCF/CDCR are great options, but they take forever to hire you on. Hospitals are not really hiring new grads even internal applicants, so sad. Do you have a license somewhere other than CA or an option to live in another state to get the experience? If so, do it. I love living here, but I hate not having a job. The jobs for new grads are where no one wants to live, and also places no one wants to work.

I saw a bunch of openings with Adventist Health. You should check it out online.
I already apply at adventist health and they said i'm not fit for that position.
No i dont have just have CA VN license, still planning to get my RN license in other state though
If there is any way that you can get on with the Calif Dept of Corrections (CDCR) as a registry nurse, and you like it once you are working, you can apply to go fulltime - they can make special provisions to keep you after the usual six month maximum registry period if you have an application in with the state, so you don't have to be out of work and they don't have to lose a good applicant!

Try calling that list of hospitals directly. Some of them may have perm positions or in-house per diem available. They can also tell you what agencies they use and if they ever do use agency LPNs.
