Did you check the science course sticky? There are several helpful links for online science courses. I'm not sure about the cost.

I don't know where you live, but you can search online classes at distancelearn.org for Florida classes. (Each state probably has an equivalent website). Good luck!

i did a search of "on line microbiology course" and got three pages of information--too much for me to check out, so i'll leave it up to you to do the same search and look at all the websites. there is one site that was always coming up when i was researching information for microbiology classes and that was the university of leicester. they apparently have an online course in it. it kept coming up time and again as i was searching. however, when i go to the site, it doesn't really say it is an online course or else i'm just not looking in the right place. in general you want to look at the online universities to see if they have a class in microbiology. so, check out this website to get school contacts: http://www.degrees-online.us/?ovmkt=3ptc50up2so3mspal5t6q803qs&ovraw=on%20line%20microbiology%20course&ovkey=on%20line%20course%20for%20microbiology&ovmtc=standard

you should also check out your local colleges for distance learning courses. there are also some courses on cd, but i don't know what kind of credit, if any, you can get with those. you can find them by doing a search for "microbiology tutorials".

I did an online Micro course through Northland Community and Technical College in Minnesota. It was a great class and I really enjoyed it. You do all you experiments at home. No on campus labs. It was absolutely great:D. The only down fall is it cost 180.00 per credit hour. I think most online classes are pretty expensive. Its the price we pay for the convenience of doing it at home. Anyways good luck to you with your search.

ccconline has a 4 credit micro which is all online. Labs are conducted individually with lab reports submitted for grading. Tests are also online.
