Bayli1 have you found out any information about the CTC program? I'll be with you this Fall! And I know who you are now based on your story about your son being born, we had Anatomy II lab together!!

It's so hard getting information about our program since we have switched from quarters to semesters this coming year. I hope they post some information soon its driving me nuts not knowing and its so hard to get questions answered!! lol

I have a question for those who are in nursing or going to nursing. If i have 60+credits including the prerequisites for nursing and I transfer. will i be starting clinicals right away which gives me junior status. ?

We did clinicals all 4 semesters, first semester we did half a day once a week, second and third 1 full day once a week, and 4th was/is 2 full days a week.

I'm in a BSN program and we have clinical in all 4 semesters.

For my BSN program, we only have 2 skills lab first semester, no clinicals. Next semester we have 2-8 hour clinical days and same for 3rd. 4th we precept a nurse for 3-12's.

For my traditional program, we don't have clinicals the first semester (we take patho, pharm, etc) - then we have clinicals for the next 5 semesters (basic skills for the 1st, psych + med/surg for 2nd, peds + OB 3rd, community 4th, and senior practicum last). The first semester of clinicals is 6 hours a week, and then we move to 12s.

I am in an ADN program and we have clinicals all 6 quarters. The first quarter (Fundementals) we only have clinicals for 3 weeks. Quarters 2-5 we have clinicals for 6 weeks each quarter, and the last quarter we have clinicals for pretty much the whole quarter. For the first 5 quarters, clinicals are 2 days week for 8 hours each day. I am not sure how the final quarter is set up for our practicum, but I know it is more hours per week than the other quarters.
