2015 Lonestar spring hopefuls.

Published

Hi there everyone. I'm one of the 2015 hopefuls for lonestar. Just wondering if anyone has any information on application datelines for 2015 spring. The school sites don't happen to have that info(unless, I am missing something). Any info would be appreciated. Thanks and good luck to everyone.

There was a grant this semester that gave us the stuff we would use in the lab, but we haven't gotten it yet, so I'm not sure exactly whats in there. I do know that you have to buy a stethoscope and blood pressure kit bc those are not included and we started using that 1st week of class. Also make sure you have a watch that you can see second hand on, no digital.

Hey everyone! I am a Nursing 1 student at North Harris. It is challenging and at times overwhelming but I am loving it!! :) I actually applied for the Spring start last year with a 9.8 and was selected as an alternate for both cyfair and kingwood. I was told that a lot of the alternates were called up but I decided to decline and wait since North Harris and Montgomery were so much closer to me. Good luck and don't stress out.... believe me this is the easy part! LOL! Feel free to ask any questions you may have.

leahgirl100 Thank you so much for posting this!! It really eased my mind! Can you tell me what your schedule is like @ North Harris? I plan on applying there in January if I don't get into Kingwood. Also if you become a alternate that means you can't apply anywhere else?

Hi Everyone! I am applying for Spring 2015 ADN program- Kingwood first choice and CyFair second. I am just now finding this and it is so helpful! I AM NOT LIKING THE WAIT AT ALL! :( My score is a 11.13 which isn't quite what I wanted at all, but I decided to apply anyways. I hope you all get in and stay positive until the emails go out

Good luck to all of the new applicants!

As of today, the application period is finally closed, which means we only have two or three weeks until we receive some feedback! I think the next step is getting our BLS (Basic Life Support) certification if we do not have it. I need to get mine!

Hey guys application period has finally closed!!

Just wanna say Good luck to all!! :)

Hey! @Msericaleah I applied to the kingwood program too! Good luck I hope we all get in! :)

@amood06: Thanks for the great info!.. @leahgirl100: Thanks leahgirl! you give us so much hope!... @msericaleah7:don't worry girl 11.13 is still a good score from what I've heard in this forum.. stay positive and good luck to you!.. @everyone!!!!: good luck to everyone, I sincerely hope we all get in!! and let's start with the waiting game very positive ok:yes:!!

Hey y'all! I know I haven't been posting in a while but I have been so busy with my last semester of Nursing school! YAY! Just want to remind you guys to make sure you keep up to date on your immunizations especially for Clinicals because they WILL NOT let you go to the hospitals without them being up to date! For Kingwood, we had to have our BLS, not sure if they just want CPR now. They will tell you EVERYTHING in orientation and when you go, PLEASE be on time. I remember when I first started my first semester at Kingwood and when we had orientation someone showed up late and wasn't allowed in. Not sure if they let them continue in the program. They are very strict when it comes to things like that. Also get your Nursing patches, for your scrubs, as soon as you can and try to buy more than one since Kingwood bookstore runs out of them quick and you must have them on your scrubs when you go to Clinical! I am so excited to be graduating in December. It seems like it was yesterday when I was posting on here about the application process and I was so nervous! I still have my acceptance letter from Kingwood lol! Good Luck again to you all, stay focused and you will do fine! I'm here to answer all questions : )

Hey!! @ scavila10 That is awesome! I am sure you will get in! Good luck to you and I hope we all get into the program :). @Gabicita Thank you! I am trying my best to stay positive about it and not beat myself up about it! Good luck to you all and I really hope you all get in! :) Happy thoughts and/or workout hardcore to take out the stress (that's what I am doing everyday since application period started lol). I truly wish you all the best!

@ikegrad2002 Thank you for the helpful information!!

Woo Hoo! The application period had ended! Not much longer now! I wonder how many applicants there were???

@ikegrad2002: Thank you for all your great advise! I will make sure to be there in time!.. good luck to you and study hard for that NCLEX!! @msericaleah7: I know girl.. we just gonna have to keep our minds busy on something to keep those negative thoughts off our heads... let's let that count down to :nurse: begin!!!
