Anyone applying?

Just withdrew my acceptance to the program today...decided to go with a BSN program....good luck to those on the waiting list :up:

it took me 1 week to receive my membership id for the student health insurance

they also send you temporary id to your email

oh and we are suppose to register for the spring ~summer

and for the credit column, i entered 0 because the insurance lady i talked to wasn't sure about it either.

does anyone know how long it takes tto receive blue card from the board of nursing? i only receive credential report from department of public safety... and it already has been 1 week since i did my fingerprint

where do you find the member id?

and on the info...i made a mistake. It asked me for my credit hours and i out 16..which is wrong. is that gonna be a problem?

*NVM i got the temporary id. i didnt see that they included an attachment to my email.

I just called the number on the website for the insurance and the lady was very helpful. She said when you purchase the insurance for Spring session, you will get a confirmation email the next day, and thats good enough for the nursing program. I double checked it with the nursing dept. and she said that is correct. You don't need the ID card, the reciept is good enough.

Not sure if it makes a difference on the credit hours or not. I would definatley call the insurance and ask. I think it's something easy to fix though. By the way, how many credit hours are we taking?

i just checked mylonestar, and i have morning lectures and lab and friday clinicals!! :) you guys should check if they already put in your schedule!

Hi guys.. it took me two hours yesterday to read every page of this thread lol I wish I had found you before :rolleyes:

Well I'm an International student at LSC Cy-Fair and this was my first time applying to the Nursing program. I managed to finish all my pre-requisites within 1 year (except for Microbiology which I'm taking right now) and got all A's in my classes (so proud of myself lol :lol2:).

But I was so sad when I realized that wasn't enough... even though I did a good job in the HESI test, my final score was 11.4796. At the beginning I though that would be enough to get into the program but when I got my letter in the mail I found out I was just an alternate.

Yesterday, after a month of desperation and waiting... Ms. Anderson called me to let me know there was an available spot and asked me if I wanted to accept her offer to be one of the 50 accepted student :yeah:.

I just wanted to share all my excitement with you guys... and for those of you who are still waiting for that call... do not desperate and hang in there!!! The same thing that happened to me can happen to you and you might get a call anytime, even a day before the classes start!! so please don't give up :up:

You're in the kingwood program right? Because I got accepted into the CyFair program and we havent even had our prientation yet.

And the blue card takes 7-10 business days. I did mine last friday, so its only been 5 business days since then. if you did yours thursday, then its only been 6 business days. Im sure we'll all be getting by later next week. :)

I just found this thread and am hello :-) I'm on the alternate list :confused: at Cy Fair and very confused. I've done everything that's been asked of me, now I'm waiting on this darn blue card to come in the mail. I did the fingerprinting on Nov. 3rd, but have yet to get anything. I am so nervous that I won't get it by the deadline on the 23rd!! Ms. Anderson said all communication would be through email, so I don't really understand why people are getting phone calls from her. I haven't gotten one and my stomach is in knots. Anyone in the same shoes?? Ohh and my score was a 11.3228 (I think).

I believe the ppl who are getting phone calls are the ones on the waitlist who have been offered a spot? Im not sure. but someone said it takes 7-10 business days. Business days are monday-friday, weekends are not considered business days. If you got yours done on the 3rd, only 6 business days have passed. I did mine on the 4th, so it should be coming in this next week. Good luck! :)

Thanks :-) All this waiting and jumping through hoops is wearing on my nerves!! I try to be hopeful, but at the same time I really don't think I will get called at all.

Has anyone received the email about social security verification for 10 bucks??? What info are they looking for....
